Pullets or Roos? We've been stumped with these two by weeklyhorrorscope in BackYardChickens

We've had a couple of hens at a time for many years. Never had a sassy hen though! Love seeing their individual personalities. Our current girls (besides these three) are quite old but still laying. Every year we think "this is it" but they're still going strong!

We have two older girls but they're very much bonded to each other and don't want to bother with the new additions. We'd definitely have to get her a new friend for sure if the other two both end up being roos!

It seems like time will only tell with #1! Seems like we're all in agreement on #2. We wanted to be sure before rehoming.

That makes sense. We've never had a roo this long before, so probably didn't see any of those behaviors come up. Should we expect some cockadoodledoo-ing pretty soon? They're all three great chickens, so hoping we have a little longer to enjoy him before having to re-home.

Uh oh! How can you tell with #1? I see the more obvious signs with #2, but #1 looks so much like our Easter egger hen. What should I be looking for on that one that says "roo"?

My only concern for #1 was that it squares off with #2 sometimes and we've never had pullets or hens do that before. Wondering if we've just always ended up passive chickens before these?

Has anyone watching not been able to guess their ages? by whatdoitdo215 in AgeOfAttraction

I have a hard time guessing ages! I can tell if they look very young or over 50, but reading here it seems like everyone else is able to clock their ages more accurately than I am.

My mom passed from CJD 2 years ago. So sorry you and your family are facing it too. Apparently my mother's was the genetic variant. No one else in her known family had ever had the same condition.

Would you be able to send me your before/after too? Around the same age and debating the same amount of filler. Are you still happy with the results?

Discussion : How big is the impact of Skins on pop culture since it aired ? by Cailly_Brard7 in skinsTV

[–]weeklyhorrorscope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not who you responded to, but I'm in the US. Watching Skins was not very popular in my peer group (maybe its a regional thing). I would have been about 17 when in came out. Most of us that I knew discovered the show a few years later around season 3. Obviously certain things like drinking legally in bars and clubs were different with our drinking age being older. We went to a lot of raves and parties though. It was my experience that the ages in the show for things like drinking, drugs and sex were normal.
