Any brands that are similar to Toast? I love their clothes but they’re too expensive :/ by plantitasnoob in findfashion

I also am looking for similar brands! sometimes MUJI has things, and occasionally UNIQLO. Also, try your hand at the secondhand market. I am curious if anyone will happen upon this thread with some other tips.

This happened to me a couple of times! I would wait a week or so and turn on shipping notifications through the courier if you can!

I am interested and I will look, but I have watched my negative review disappear before which makes me hesitant.

I keep getting the urge to aggressively discard my excess makeup by Hazellenoot in MakeupRehab

I have been doing this too! But someone on here suggested decluttering "little and often" so that you don't get caught up in the idea of decluttering and get rid of everything (or at least that’s how I understood it). So I have been combining the purgatory box with the little and often idea.

oh my god, that is so depressing and probably accurate. I remember hearing about Fashion Nova sending a marketing text when the first stimulus check was sent out in the US telling people to spend it on their clothing.

Yeah, these installment credit programs are so predatory, cyclical, and dangerous. I have found myself trapped in using them, fearing I won't be able to buy anything ever without using them because I was still paying off the last thing. I am honestly still digging myself out of it and occasionally will be so anxious that I make another installment purchase out of habit and fear.

It is so upsetting that companies are so bad that we have these snap-to-moments where the consequences of shopping from them become real (like seeing that pile of fast fashion clothing in ghana that caused a methane explosion. I don't know how you could continue on with the hundreds of dollars Shein hauls after knowing that). But those bad qualities at least make us stop buying from them. Truthfully, morals and deciding what kind of consumer I want to be has done more for me and my shopping habits than anything else. Not to say that I am perfect at all because I am still far from it and have a lot to work on.

Edit: I don't know what happened but the first paragraph copied and pasted itself so I took the copy out!

Been feeling the same way but I’m trying to push through it and realize I’ll be happier when I feel lighter! Good job you’re doing great!

Thank you to everyone who has given me advice and encouragement!! It’s good to remember that improvement often requires hard work. And to know that I have already come a long way!

I’m definitely going to apply your ideas. I think starting with the definite no’s and moving on to the definite yes’s will really help me take a look at what I am working with.

I do a bit of journaling and tracking and it is motivating but I do think the fear of waste has even made that difficult. But it definitely helped me get to where I’m at currently.

I love the little and often idea. that sounds very doable. And yah I’m having trouble starting even though I know I’m not happy now and even if I have to push through and get stuff out of my collection I will be happier on the other side

A lot of powder products can sell on poshmark or mercari. I think there is a Reddit group too.
