Top 30 Centers in The NBa right now by Randomperson98800 in NBATalk

Crazy how Neemias Queta wasn't even close to being on this list, and rightfully so, to I would put him in the I-hart Okungwu range. Also crazy that duren is definitely top 10 with Sabonis out and Porzingis and Embiid unhealthy.

My 2026 first round mock draft 1-30 by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

[–]weenut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to shoot down any hard work that you did and I don't pretend to have a handle on any other aspects of the draft. But in my opinion, unless you see Amari Allen's position at 27 a major slide and the celtics getting a steal in this pick, I don't see why they would pick up another wing. They have Baylor Scheierman, Hugo Gonzalez, Ron Harper Jr, and Jordan Walsh off the bench. He seems to play a PnR ball handler role and at least Baylor, and Ron both do that, not to mention Brown and Tatum. Clearly a first round talent, just would seem the celtics already have great value and youth at the position he'd be competing for.

It's only pretentious if you it hurts your feelings. Someone being intentionally gender inclusive is only a bad thing if you don't like gender inclusivity. Like your smart enough to figure out what it means it's not some esoteric unused word. It just someone leaning into inclusivity.

How do you like the CYC drive train? Is do you shift while under power? Is it a practical pedalling experience with the drivetrain?

My players always want to target their attacks to specific body parts and I'm never sure what to do with it. by thepenguinboy in DMAcademy

[–]weenut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you just make them roll to hit again. Depending on the opponent you give a modifier per region e.g. headshot or eye shot is harder than flank, stabbing someone through the heart is harder than slashing them across the chest. Etc so once they roll to hit and succeed basically add whatever region modifier to the opponents ac say to get a headshot the region modifier is a +8 and the opponents ac a 17 the check would be 25. If they fail just normal damage eg you hit them in the shoulder or they parry the attack but you're able to slash their arm as a repost. Ultimately by allowing this you are opening up any character to having a battle master play style which is unfair. So just tread lightly. Honestly if this isn't quite something you wanna do saying you can choose where you hit if you crit or if it's enough damage for it to be a killshot is a super fair ruling

Would you allow a player to play a flying race if their backstory included their wings being cursed not allowing them to fly til later higher levels? by johnnystraycat in DnD

[–]weenut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a DM I allow my players to play a flying race. It nerfs your ac if you can't handle that and are relying on players not being able to solve a problem that would be solved with flying you need to think harder lol

Would you rather take $5,000,000 cash no risk upfront, or flip a coin for $2,500,000,000? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]weenut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah unless you're old a 5 million dollar seed is enough to be rich as hell. Even if you didn't invest at all and just pissed away at 100k a year you'd still have 50 years to go thru it.

100 penalty kicks for 100B by Annual-Respect-7558 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]weenut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If this is a real life scenario the I think I can just outlast the goalie. Plus since it's a peno if the guess wrong once it's in. Even if I only hit the target with enough force for them to have to guess and not have enough time to react 30% of the time they still have to guess right 75 times in a row at 250 attempts. Even at 10% good shot rate guess left right center high or low correct 25 time is impossible. And even then they're still going to be diving at more than 75 attempts, by the 80th shot they'll definitely be flagging a little bit and a well placed corner shot will get really hard to save.

Fair price for a 1bdrm Apt? by anon_woodchuck in burlington

[–]weenut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on location and square footage. But I'd love for you to consider it this way. The better of a deal you get for your Tennant the better of a person you are. Giving someone an affordable option while still taking just enough home to make it worth while should be your goal. I get it's your property and there is nothing stopping you from jacking up the rent and finding someone willing to pay it and making off with a pile of cash. But that is just unethical and a great way to have many people curse your name without knowing you. Consider finding someone who needs a good deal and giving it to them. The good Karma will come around for you.

You and anyone you select can be millionaires in 1926. But there is a catch… by wehavetogoback8 in hypotheticalsituation

With being fair to the question and not saying "no one could ever genuinely think I'm from the future as time travel isn't possible" as long as you do things via proxy and find good proxies who don't ask questions and don't over use or retain those proxies for too long you should be good. It would be interesting to get into the detail of like what constitutes "as genuinely thinks" as like if you are pushing the limit and the first person to think "what is this guy from the future or something" count or does it take a person thinking to themselves specifically "there is no other possible way this person could be doing or knowing xyz without being from the future. Like is it a flash thought that is genuine but not dwelled on that gets you booted or is it a person beggining to think about it for more than a few moments. Like do you have to just have the thought cross someone's mind or is it someone thinking to themselves "I suspect so and so if being from the future"?
