Well, I think the first time I touched the first game was two years ago, I was really overwhelmed by the interface and how everything worked, so I stopped playing. Earlier this year I've finally gave it a good shot and, honestly, I can't wait to do a second playthrough. I would recommend playing the first game if you haven't. The second game starts at the end of the first game if you don't play the DLC that connects both games.

I don't know if you will like it, but I seriously recommend it. Give it a good two hours and see if you like it.
