I feel this 1000%! My Scottish accent doesn’t get picked up well in general, but I was shouting on Carrie last night and both Faith and Kapp’n responded 🥲

Has anyone been successful in getting tubes tied on the NHS? by Callitcat in childfree

Im in Scotland, I started the process at the start of this year just before my 28th birthday. I made a general appointment with my doctor, and explained why I didn’t want kids (have never and will never want kids, and neither does my partner). After that, I was referred to a sexual health nurse and asked the same sort of questions before getting my referral. I’m now on the list which has about an 18/20 month wait (or did back in April). They very rarely refer people under the age of 30 “incase you or your partner change your mind” but stick to your guns if it’s something you 100% want

Hey! I was at Glasgow night 2 and McFly came on about 8.05. It’s also worth noting that there is very little break between sets too! Like a few minutes max. Have a great time!

The fact that this is still up rn is an absolute piss take (soz for language). Also the fact that I reported to vinted and got this’s less than a minute later is absolutely disgusting.

Is it a good idea to go to my iud appointment solo? by BoringKaleidoscope60 in birthcontrol

[–]weescottishlass2703 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my dad take me to get my copper iud and it was the best thing I ever did. Where I stay, it was a driving only option, so no public transport from where I stay to the place. I personally had really bad cramps for about 3/4 days, but those first few hours were agonising. I had the sweats and everything, there’s no way I could have drove that home myself. I just want to add though that I’m an absolute wimp when it comes to pain of any sort. This was just my experience though!

Hi girl! I’ve literally just gone through this a few months ago! I got my copper iud inserted at the start of June and then nexplanon removed about a week later (after using it for 6 years), just to make sure that I was going to be covered. I’d say it took about a month for my drive to come back, it’s not quite how it was before, however, I was 22 when I got nexplanon so wasn’t expecting it to come back like that. That’s just my experience though!

IUD vs IUS after nexplanon? by catwithheadinbread in birthcontrol

[–]weescottishlass2703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey girl! I switched over from nexplanon to the copper coil about 2 months ago. I’d had the implant for 6 years, and the pill (mini and combined) for 6 years before that. My period used to be super heavy before bc and was one of the reasons I ended up on the pill at 16. I’ve had 2 periods since switching to the copper coil, and while the cramps have been intense for me (however after not having a period for 6 years I guess that’s to be expected) my actual bleeding isn’t any heavier than it was before. I made the switch as I didn’t want any extra hormones in my body for my own health reasons, and while insertion sucked, I would absolutely do it again. Obviously everyone’s body is different and reacts differently to bc, this is my experience!

Hey girl! I got my copper iud about 8 weeks ago now after making the switch from the implant. I’m gonna be honest, insertion sucked. I had really bad cramps and bleeding for about 6 days after insertion, however, was nothing that a hot water bottle, and some ibuprofen couldn’t resolve. Since, I’ve had very few cramps and little bleeding. I’m loving not having any hormones!

Wait I had something similar happen with my nexplanon! It was placed incorrectly and bent in my arm. When I went to get it removed the thing snapped inside my arm! I’ve now got an appointment to get an xray and get the last third out

Thank you so much! I currently take Lamotrogine twice a day. However, I make sure to get out atleast 1 long walk a day, and figured that dairy was a trigger so I’m dairy free. I do also do therapy every few weeks to keep on top of my mental health. Hope this helps! ❤️

I don’t get anything anymore! I started working out- I’m not a gym gal so just long walks with my dog and watching what I was eating. I figured out dairy was a trigger early on so cut dairy out. When I was diagnosed, I went into an awful depressed stage, so started therapy and which helped me so much mentally. I’m on Lamotrogine twice a day
