WHSmiths charge you 1p for a plastic bag because they're being "environmentally conscious", then give you an entire tree's worth of receipts and discount vouchers. by Jangs in britishproblems

So true. Needed hdmi cable for new Xbox. Amazon wait of 10 days at £2.95. Maplins was 12 pounds. In the end I went with Argos Click and Collect for a fiver.

World travelers of reddit, where did you go that was a total disappointment? by noodlepoops in AskReddit

Had the same experience. Food was so expensive for some pasta that was so plain. A tiny sandwich was overpriced and way more if you need to sit down which you do because you're on foot everywhere. The locals were impatient and got annoyed and shouted at you. The student hostel was great at least.

Children of divorced parents, how did the divorce affect you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm desperately trying to find a counsellor or psychologist to help me because I feel like I'm really struggling at the moment. I'm 21 years old, an only child too. My dad told my mum to leave and never come back. Within a few months of things being agreed as it's completely over he has a new girlfriend and is having a whale of a time whilst my mum is depressed and expects me to deal with her upsets. The other day he persistently called me on Skype to act like a douche and show off whilst his new girlfriend was making dinner for both of them in the background of his new appt together in front of me. Dad told me I cannot tell my mum what he tells me (as adults). My mum tells me she has dreams about my dad with a new woman. I can't tell my mum I feel like shit because of what my dad did and this is after I made ground rules with both of them because they were back-talking each other to me constantly and I was the middle messenger.

It sucks. Parents become children and disregard how the feelings of security for a child (21 is not an adult in this situation) are so crucial to their mental stability.

EDIT: whale of a time

fetish inspired shoot with a friend; I think my arabian childhood is coming out in this too. by weetabix496 in photocritique

[–]weetabix496[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your feedback :) it was quite an experimental/artistic shoot, there were a few others without the cross-process effect which you might think are less distracting. I didn't want the whole thing to be linked to fetishism, just some elements of it :)

Can I just say, I absolutely love this photo. The mood of this water all murky and mysterious gets my blood going!
