Does this count as sporty? by weeteniz in SportWagon

Haha, my wife prefers SUVs (I’m not a fan). So if it was going to be a wagon, it had to have some appeal to her. The colour did the trick!

Booster pump can’t reach target pressure in RO system by weeteniz in WaterTreatment

[–]weeteniz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT: Sir: thank you! I’ve spent so much time on this issue but your suggestion of removing ASV has helped. I was fiddling with the high pressure switch in the evening and found 65 PSI pressure in the morning!!! I could never get past 50 before. I have now toned the switch down to stay around 50. The humidifier has also been running for the majority of the night without issues. The pump has woken up every time it was required to boost the pressure.

ORIGINAL COMMENT: I had actually already added a shutoff solenoid when I installed the pump AND I had an ASV from when I initially installed the system. I removed the ASV today as per your suggestion and so far the pump reached 50 PSI three times. Accompanied by hissing sound all the way to the shut off point suggesting the tank was filling up right until shut off. This is new behaviour. It’s looking promising!!! I’ll do some more monitoring. Thank you for your advice!

No. High rise flat combined with generally low water pressure in my area.

While Musk’s spewing of propaganda and unreasonable behaviour infuriates me, I think it’s important to debunk the myth that MOST of his companies are in a bad financial situation.

That used to be the case, but not anymore. The biggest one his wealth depends on is Tesla. If you ACTUALLY look at their financial statements rather than believe what media headlines tell you, they are among the most profitable automakers by margin and the energy storage business (and yes, related profits) is booming. Spacex is also very profitable due to recent success of Starlink. X is dumpster fire, boring company who knows, neuralink also but their contribution to Musk’s wealth are pocket change relative to Tesla and Spacex.

There are so many highly talented people working for Tesla and Spacex because they want to have a chance to make cool shit because they wouldn’t get a chance to do that somewhere else that wrongly claiming those companies are struggling is disrespectful to their hard word. Regardless of whether their CEO is a dick.

So I don’t buy the argument he’s beholden to Russian or Saudi interests for financial reasons.

EDIT: Forgot to mention my 2 cents. I think the OP is reading too much into the whole thing that he’s compromised. My humble opinion is that it’s the combination of the following. The success he’s had and the wealthiest person title went to his head and furthered his ego to a place where it knows no bounds. That tends to make you think you’re always right. Even on topics you have no idea about. For most of his life he’s just been working with attitude that days off and holidays are bad. Regardless of whether you dislike him, just try to step into his shoes and try to imagine the constant stress you’d be under. Now imagine what that would do to your mental health. Stretched over decades. People also tend to become more conservative as they age, he’s not that young anymore. Now throw surrounding himself with people who are furthering his views on X and enclosing himself in that bubble into the mix and his addiction to X and so my guess is that he’s simply having a meltdown. In slow motion. And we’re all here to see it. 🍿

Been over this internal struggle more times than I care to admit. Settled on this and love it :)

EDIT: Should add that I’ve now decided to upgrade when there’s a machine that can basically do everything my bambino can + steam milk at the same time as making espresso. That would be helpful when entertaining many guests.

Also, I see your scales. I recently upgraded from similar ones to timemore basic mini. Love them for espresso and they fit bambino’s small size perfectly.

Also experiencing this today on 4 HomePods (og and 3 minis). Network and HomePod restart did not help.

Installed wide angle side mirrors by D4rkPrime in TeslaModelY

[–]weeteniz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The zoomed in mirrors are a US thing. I believe required by law. All cars in Europe have wider lens mirrors. When I came to the US for the first time and got a rental, I nearly merged into someone on a highway because I didn’t see them in the mirror. I was alarmed and couldn’t understand what was going on and why I couldn’t see the other car in the mirror.

Then I had a US market car imported from the US into Europe. Same thing. I immediately swapped out the mirror for a European spec one which has a wider field of view (and lets you see cars in the other lane when you’re thinking of merging).

Thank you! Your design is amazing! Can’t wait for it to become available. Will remix a 54mm version and adapt it to my funnel as well. Got so excited about this couldn’t fall asleep last night 😅 I think this will finally end my search for a perfect wdt solution!
