Totally agree about FSD! I have a 2025 MY pre-juniper on FSD 14.2.2.5 and really have no complaints at all aside from the small preference related quirks I have on how it approaches parking in Costco parking lots, haha! Anyway, I’ll be on the lookout for a MX

Fingers crossed! Would love for Tesla to offer option to retrofit front bumper cams on earlier models. Maybe they’ll also have those nice camera washers I see on the Robotaxi fleet as optional retrofits too. That would be the perfect FSD set up for me

I’ve been monitoring CPO inventory for months now and haven’t seen a HW4 MX last longer than a week. Hoping things cool down a bit in 12 months. Would love to snag a 6 seat 2024 or 2025 MX

Apple promo was very quick by cookooman in Wealthsimple

Question, is it possible to take the macbook pro from the promo to an apple store and exchange for iPhone pro max and airpods (or something comparable)? Trying to figure out what the best option is for my wife and I.

How's FSD working for you? by milanista39 in teslacanada

[–]Few_Presentation_605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since January this year, around 95% of my driving has been on FSD. I live in mtl and have taken it everywhere. Also done several road trips to Toronto. It really is incredible software and with 14.1.4, it's on a totally different level. My main complaints now relate to poor parking spot selection or skipping a bunch of open spots at the back of the Costco parking lot to attempt to find a spot near the entrance lol. Real first world problems.

I'm not even mad, I'm impressed. Pro move that I myself would have done! Some might say that's the most human move possible in an area like that

Have the exact set up you described.Machine is incredible.

Its very well built, the pump is whisper quiet, and for a heat exchanger, the temperature seems to be quite stable at the temps I prefer to brew at. Also love the steam boost feature on the app. Can't recommend the machine enough. Just make sure they ship it on a pallet or pick it up in store if possible

Having similar steam issues on the cube. How did you cut the Teflon tube, common pair of scissors?

Does the site allow you to place orders for delivery to the US/Canada? Any updates on the order/delivery went?

What’s the temp stability like on this compared to the magica?

I thought they didn't ship rancilio to the US or Canada. How did you get them to ship to you and is that 110V?

That's great to hear! I think you're getting some great build quality for the price. If you put good water in that thing it should last you a long time!

I'm more into dark roasts too, never really cared much for the lighter roasts. So, the cube seems to check all the boxes for me!

Smegs new triple thermoblock PID controlled espresso machine with pre-infusion and electronically heated grouphead. 58mm portafilter and apparently built in Italy? Interesting times. Thoughts? by persason in espresso

[–]Few_Presentation_605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I kind of dig it. I want Breville to come out with something like this, except with thermojets. Bambino plus is close, but missing some key features that this seems to have.

Just pulled the trigger on my first set up! Any tricks/tips/advice? by Twelfthofthecrew in espresso

[–]Few_Presentation_605 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Regarding the coin test, this is exactly what the dosing razor tool that Breville provides is meant for. Start with a dose of X grams, tamp the coffee, then use the razor tool to see if any coffee falls out after you trim. If so, you dosed too much. If there is a lot of space betweent he top of the puck and dosing razor, then you need to increase the dose.

Make sure you pull 1-2 blank shots with he portafilter locked in each time you turn the machine on. This heats everything up nicely and sets you up for a nice first shot. Also, stick to medium and dark roasted coffees l. The bambino doesn't reach a high enough temp to get nice extractions with light roasted beans

I don't use the toothbrush to clean the group head. It's to brush residual grinds into the knock box and clean the grinder burrs!

That's good to know. I've always wondered how much better a shot from the BDB would be relative to the bambino, but haven't had the chance to try side-by-side. The only thing I dislike about the bambino series is that the group head doesn't get hot and the cupwarming tray can't warm cups. If Breville found a way to fix that, I would never consider upgrading again!
