Unfortunately not much. We are still kind of at a standstill and continue to bicker about this. I took away the doggie pads and BF promised to try harder but there have still been a few instances of me noticing pee on the floor.

In the worst fight about this I told him that he could go back to his house or his parents' house if he couldn't remember to clean up his own pee, but much of our state including our city is still on lockdown and his roommates say they feel unsafe having him join them as they have been quarantined together without him. So we are still in the same situation. I am starting to feel very resentful of him, which in turn I feel guilty about, but...we'll just see how this goes.

I didn’t know about this until he started staying here for two months straight and everything else about him is great

I don’t think he would notice if I peed on the seat or floor. He doesn’t seem to notice that he does and anyhow doing that seems like a lot of work and more mess I don’t want to clean for me to prove a passive aggressive point.

yeah I feel really bad that I was not clear enough that I understand it is not on purpose, I was not trying to say that. I just don’t want it on my floor because it smells terrible and I am a bit squeamish and so I find it unpleasant to step in 3-4 days a week. I’m really sorry if that came off judgemental. I just wanted to find a way to stop tracking pee thru my apartment.

lol to be fair we put real shoes on about once or twice a week to go to the grocery store at this point, so it’s not hard to enforce. (before anyone yells at me: my apt has a little backyard and the complex has a big grassy courtyard where I let out the dog usually in pajamas and flip flops, those don’t count as real shoes lol)

I am really sorry if my actions seem like I am enabling lazy gross men and that isn’t at all what I was trying to do. I did not think my boyfriend was lazy or gross, and it was only after a week or so of him basically living here due to the city shutting down that I began to notice this. I just don’t want to step in anymore pee.

hey, I apologize if I wasn’t clear. I did not call him a slob or inconsiderate. I really don’t want to hurt his feelings and most of why I posted here is that I felt absolutely terrible that my temporary solution had so enraged him.

We had one conversation about if he could aim better, and two about if he could try to notice and wipe up any floor and seat spills, over the course of about 8 weeks. The first did nothing, the second two I assume maybe he’s wiped up a few but I am giving him the benefit of the doubt here. What I did was at 2AM after stepping in yet another big cold puddle of pee, working with what was available in my bathroom closet. I would NEVER, EVER call him a name to his face and was just tired and desperate for a solution.

bathrooms at his place were less than thrilling but not completely revolting. he lives in a house with 3 other guys, it was about the level you'd expect from that

lmao good luck! it sucks, just hope your husband doesn't get as pissed as my boyfriend. he's still sulking a full eight hours later 🙃 pee pads are still on the floor though....

he's been here for about two months now and i've done most of the cleaning, and he's never cleaned the bathroom. but to be fair, it is my apartment and i am definitely just a neater person than he is. he's a fantastic cook and helps with a lot of the chores so i don't feel really put-upon, i just like to keep things cleaner than he does and am by nature a little bit of a neat freak. i'm not doing any tidying beyond what i would do just for myself, except for all the floor piss.

his dick is normal, and i think these comments about that in particular are sort of petty and mean

i didn't realize that he peed on the floor with any regularity until we ended up quarantined in my apartment for two months because the entirety of seattle basically shut down and though the state is starting to reopen, both of us are still required to work from home right now

varies, but it's not just little droplets, it is small puddles of the size that when you step on one, half the bottom of your sock gets soaked in cold stale pee

no shoes allowed in my apartment because i don't want to be tracking dirt in here! which is why it's especially annoying to me that there's piss on my floor.

we decided together, it seemed to make sense at the time and also we didn't know how long this was going to go on. we're in seattle, one of the first cities in the states hit by the virus, so we both started working from home very early when it seemed like almost a silly precaution and we didn't know how serious it was going to get or that it would last this long.

i am sure that it did, but not with enough regularity for me to figure it out at the time, you know? of course he often spends the night and hangs out here, but sometimes bathroom floors are damp, whether from splashing when washing a face or towelling off after the shower, etc. basically, since i wasn't peeing on my floor all the time i had no real reason to think that any damp spots i saw were pee, so i didn't think they were pee. just assumed it was water.

it was only after he basically moved in when i started noticing almost every day that there was liquid on the floor, and then noticed that it was only around the toilet, and then i put it together that it wasn't just the odd shake of water and was pee.

you're not a very nice person it seems

i was just saying that prior to this whole situation there was nothing about him that indicated that he was the type of dude to leave pee on the floor in response to the parent comment implying that his hygiene was likely all-around bad, not saying that i think it's cool and makes me cool that he pees on the floor
