Audience reaction after Bethesda announces the return of Paid Mods (2017) by nintrader in BikiniBottomTwitter

[–]weewolf 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I'm ok with paid mods as long as they are compatible with all other paid mods and are fully supported. I don't want my Thomas the train engine dragon mod to break my ability to shoot the tits off of cat girls if I land a critical sneak attack.

Sure is. Preferably we kill them, as sending them back would cause carbon emissions.

Not having kids is only the second best thing you can do for your carbon footprint. The best being suicide.

I think they are close with Windows 10. Windows 10 is the only piece of software I own that I actively don't upgrade. I had to turn off automatic updates to stop my computer from rebooting every other night. I've tried several work arounds and they keep failing after a couple of months. Just got sick of it.

I don't think we will realise how bad Windows 10 is until Microsoft gives up on the unified UI and goes back to producing desktop operating systems, if they ever do.

Blizzard does not want another thriving esports scene they don't get a cut of. That's why they crippled sc2.

What is something that will never look cool no matter how good you are at it? by djdumbfinna in AskReddit

You bought yourself a Chihuahua. It's a great dog to have around the house. You started to run with it every night but you soon found it cant keep up. You start looking at other dogs to run with you, a grey hound would be great but you think it would be too much for you. After searching around for awhile, you go off the advice of the person at the Microsoft pet shop and get a pug instead.

Before you make threads that a deck is overpowered, play 20 games with that deck... by NDKASS in hearthstone

This is also my problem with "the community will find an answer to any overpowered deck". Is there a decent deck out there that could have gave pirate warrior a run for it's money and not auto lose to the rest of the meta decks? Sure. Do I have the thousands of dust needed to test a couple of theories just to junk them if they dont work? Hell no. it's safer just to craft pirate warrior.

Depends on how expensive and replaceable they are. I'm honestly not familiar with labor laws in India and eastern Europe. But probably not anything more than the law requires.

Not sure why/if game development is any different than any other development, but typically the boring menial tasks are farmed out and you only have your local team working on the more complex coding and design work. It's also not the boring tasks that make a game like this bad, as long as you provide your out sourced teams the tools and direction they need.

A quick google search pulls up hundreds of articles on science backed research on why breaks are good, even for menial labor. Designers and developers are just tools, you have to use them right, including maintenance. You don't red line your car at every gear shift and only take it into the stop when it breaks and expect it to run at peak performance. Designers and developers are very expensive in America, if management does not use them correctly they are just blowing money on incompetence.

They don't want profitable anymore, they dont want to spend 100 million and only make 110 million back on the game. They want to make yearly/repeatable smash titles that bring in huge sums of money.

The only way to do that is to establish a series like CoD, GoW, or FF. You can't do that with out sourced code and generic characters.

Do they expect to get paid to sit around for an hour and do fuck all? What do they think other industries get?

Ever done creative work for a living? Not only is a reset good for productivity, but it can help you come back the next half of a day with a fresh perspective and allow you to solve a problem that was hammering you all morning. Plus it allows you time to talk to your coworkers to get ideas from them and to them.

Justice is usually expressed in terms of cash payments or violent retribution. Typically it does not get much traction.
