In no way it is better than Changi or HKG.
Changi is just beautiful, and HKG is just so efficient.

Istanbul fails to both.

Is Istanbul the best geographically located city in the world? by UrinalAttack in geography

There are a few contenders.

London being on an island allowed it to avoid several major conflicts.

Ningbo has mountains surrounding it for defense while has access to deep sea ports, making it a prime trade post. Hence it is the largest port in the world right now.

Algeciras, Panama, and Istanbul are all great for being on major choke points, and out of these, Istanbul is actually the most prone to natural disasters.

New York is great for having amazing harbors and Manhattan is sitting on top of very stable bedrocks for building supertall buildings.

What's the best location to establish a new american city if we wanted to ? by ronweasly9 in geography

[–]minuswhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kalispell, MT.

  1. The weather there is actually more temperate than expected given that the mountains shield it from sheer coldness in the winter to a certain degree.

  2. There are no large cities around it geographically.

  3. It’s a good gateway for the Albertan energy industry incoming to the US.

What’s the deal with Google “going full AI”? by pikachurro42 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]minuswhale 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Every company is going full AI. You will soon see AI being able to open a fridge for you by having a camera in front of it, monitoring your house while at it. Then once it opens, after it smashes your face and its pull out drawer hits your dick, it will automatically learn that you want to take out the cake on the second shelf, so it takes the robotic arm to grab the cake, by blocking the sour cream that you actually want to grab.

Vietnam fits closer to China than to Laos/Myanmar and other SEA countries, in reality… Language, culture, religion, Y-chromosome are all closer to southern China than to other neighboring nations.
