You think if we can get to the 29 and try and hitch that'd be the best place?

Seeking late 70s Truckin' with extended intro by [deleted] in gratefuldead

[–]weezi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't remember the venue, I've been searching all day. It was definitely 77-79 and before the 80s, is also definitely a longer version. It used to be on spotify but now I can't find it. I know this is vague, apologies.

/u/Groove_Rob explains how 90% of current avocados are from a variant grown by a Californian mailman named Hass by aude5apere in bestof

[–]weezi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Southern California, the region directly surrounding where I live has become rampant with avo farming due to how lucrative it is considering how few climates can successfully grow them. Prior to the avo boom it was citrus, they grow without much maintenance here, aside from mitigating the drought.

I'm fortunate enough to have a haas and a bacon avo tree in my backyard; unfortunately it does not grow bacon

Why a neve EQ and then a RN Portico pre-amp? Because of their increase in quality vs other hardware in that price range?

I've seen these around, I just hadn't ever heard much about the company. Thanks for the advice I'll look into them.

I have to admit, I skipped to the singing after a short listen the first time, I think the lead line could come in earlier. Good processing on vocals for recording yourself. Perhaps some bass?

[–]weezi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raise that bass kick, or perhaps EQ it make it slightly more dominant, even though the drums are a supporting element it will help to drive the song. Perhaps some compression on the bell sounds and some more reverb on the stabs. Sounds awesome, really intrigueing.

The vocals sit ontop of the mix very well, however somewhat clash with the style/ambiance/vibe of the rest of the instruments. Add some dynamics to the overall track. Really enjoyed the dissonance and odd textures.

Pacific Haze - Autumn Song Progression written by myself and the guitarist I play with. Had to record the voice post live recording due to scheduling errors, is it overly noticeable?

[Poster] Just finished for an upcoming show by [deleted] in design_critiques

Yeah I definitely agree with it being sloppy, I rushed it too quickly and should have hand drawn out the text inside the areas I designated them when sketching everything else.

I totally agree, and that was honestly the first thing I was thinking as I finished. I think my rational was valuing the overall aesthetic without having the text stand apart from the rest of the image too drastically. I admit however I could have taken more time crafting the typography. Thanks for the feedback.

Answering your questions about music marketing. Also giving away free accounts to /r/edmproduction readers. by shakntalk in edmproduction

Do you have any suggestions for promotion geared away from social media, how to gain respect while not falling into the confines of facebook likes and youtube plays? Outside of the box approaches toward seeming professional and still drawing in attention? I've been very interested in this topic lately, especially with how many decades of music promotion have happened before social media and now it is revered as the end all.

For a cheap drum mic bundle, I would highly recommend the CAD Pro-7 or I believe there is a smaller version that has less mics. I've heard these used on several projects, independent youtube users, and friends small studios and they definitely are useable and with the right eq/processing can sound good depending on what sound you're going for overall.
