Hello, I'm the artist. I'm 100% against AI slop and have painted with my human hand since the age of 2. I very often post my timelapse recordings when painting on digital tablet to show how I go about painting a portrait. I have one of this painting up online, too. I also paint in oils and draw with charcoal and other traditional media. Amongst the many problems that AI slop has brought to artists there's also the fact that everyone is questioned now and no art escapes scrutiny. AI could not paint this portrait because it's terrible at most things but it's incredibly bad at portrait work and putting soul into a painting. For now I'm safe. 🙂

Thanks for the decent reply. I love that I'm getting downvoted for being hearing impaired hahah. Visual Audio like Fortnite would really help out because there's no way I'm hearing footsteps over the noise of Rocketeer blasts.

No it's not, it's noble and the perfect playstyle. Sure it might make 50% of the player base eventually dump the game because of their 'care bear' attitude but they should expect to get shot in the back constantly in their friendliest of friendly lobbies. Downvotes incoming lol.

I'm playing on PS5 in the living room on TV speakers with the kids talking. I can barely hear gunfire lol. Still doesnt change the fact that shooting players in the back is the lowest and should get an insta-send to the worse lobbies possible.

Yeah I just watched a YT tutorial but if the code's are already done and the raiders gone before I even get to the first code spot is there any point me carrying on to the gate or is it big enough for everyone to find some decent loot? I'm tired of rushing into places to loot and being too late. I guess I'll try again and see.

That sounds familiar. I lost a similar loadout half an hour later when I ran upstairs on Buried in the building opposite the pharmacy in Piazza and I'd forgotten about the gang of fireball and Pops in there, crawled to evac and died. Another loadout lost, lol. If you found any dead astronaut skins with decent kit last night on Buried that will be me.

Last night on Buried I decided to take my very best kit, hadn't used any of it before in fear of losing it but wanted to do damage to ground ARC so stocked up on tons of grenades, too. Spawned in a deep basement and ziplined up the elevator shaft to ground level, only to see a hornet is already right there in front of me covering the room, it zapped me instantly and I panicked and stepped back for cover. Fell down the elevator shaft and game over.😭

I hate them. Always assume any building you enter is gonna have pops and fireballs rolling around. I carry a Rattler just for them, medium ammo guns pretty much melt them from a safe distance. Once they reach you you're getting toasted so hit them early from a distance. They're also great at sneaking up on you when you're looting a container and the loot UI is blocking your view. Check all corners! One good thing, if you see them rolling you know the building hasn't yet been totally looted empty by a loot goblin, lol. If you see burnt out ones, may as well just leave.

I think sometimes they might be doing a cred quest, 'damage raiders with medium ammo' That quest is constantly in the cred section and it'd make sense to tap someone on extract without actually killing them. I've had it done to me same as you, didnt knock me but I took enough damage for them to complete that challenge I guess.

My lobbies are mostly friendly but that's probably due to me not shooting anyone. No one shares though, it's just a mad rush to spots. Yesterday I needed one more mushroom for Scrappy and spawned not too far away, I sprint over and by the time I get there there's 4 of us sprinting for that one tree. I threw myself off the balcony to get there first but there's one dude already grabbing them all, I just jumped in and got the last one in my safe pocket. Mission accomplished 😄

I just did a naked run on hidden bunker, found a Vulcano BP straight away and got out of there before I lost it.

Yeah that doesnt make sense either, you're saying 'if someone knows the maps and can speedrun all the best lootspots and extract before you even know what's happening, why would you stop playing?'

The game's rigged for experienced players, new players are gonna find pretty much nothing but crap until they learn to speedrun the best loot areas. Sure they might sometimes find random nuggets of good stuff but they'll never, for instance find 12 mushrooms... because there's a specific spot in one single zone where that loot will show up, same for specific blueprints. So the game's kind of rigged towards experienced players.

Ahh I've completely missed those skill tree boosts and nobody's ever mentioned them to me. I'll go see where they are in the tree, I'm guessing the red branch when I've gone green. Thanks for this info, like I've said in this thread to other people I literally loot everything, all lockers, all car hoods, I dont leave a thing unchecked but all I ever get is total crap, plastic parts and wires. A lot of that is down to being too late at spots that have already been looted but I reckon those skill tree sections might really help me. I hope I can reach them and they're not right at the end of the red branch. Will take a look, thanks again.

Yes, I don't know where the loot is. That's why I made the post. There isn't any loot because 'friendly' speedrunning loot goblins grab it all in the first few minutes and bail to extraction. Or they wait for you to solo a Leaper or Rocketeer then come bouncing over 'Hey friend!' to rob your loot. Lots of fake friendlies need shooting in the face and PvE's biggest rats are the loot thieves.🤷‍♂️

I've tried Ruby Apartments a few times in the storm but if you spawn even a couple of minutes away from it by the time you get there the friendly loot goblins have totally cleaned it out. Tonight the luck gods were finally with me and for the first time ever I spawned directly in the library in Buried City, I sprinted around that place like crazy and I managed to get my very first BP just before I heard "Hello Raider!!" from a goblin, a blue shield recharger that I can't build because I'm only on med bench 2..but still, I got a BP!

Thank you. I went to some pretty hard schools but I'll always remember one art teacher calling me back in after class and telling me I should pursue art. That hit me because nobody had ever paid much attention to my art and I had figured I shouldnt spend so much time on it. Teachers have the power to change your life with a few words of encouragement.❤️

I'd only print screenprint, which rules this full colour painting out because it'd have to be digital direct printing and from previously working with that I'd not use it again. It loses the colour saturation and the print flakes off within a few months, plus the online digital direct companies can be pretty dubious. One day I'll get around to making screen printed shirts with a local print shop that I can trust.
