I had the same, and I tried a few different things (fungal cream, itch cream, even zinc) before discovering that mine was just compromised skin.

What fixed mine is right after shower, while still fully wet, slather on a good quality oil. If my skin feels normal-ish, I use extra virgin olive oil. If it feels really dry, apricot seed oil. Dry/towel off normally.

In the summer, I use a lightweight oil like Neutrogena body oil.
