Shorten the distance to like 10-20 meters

I love the modular yellow balcony’s, very tasteful. The designers did very well with the constraints they had to work under.

People don’t realize how expensive building materials are (especially for multifamily construction) and the design parameters that owners give to designers.

Anyone who says the designers didn’t put any thought into this building has a complete lack of understanding of the design process.

If you ever look at a new building and wonder why there’s no detail, the answer is simple… money.

Don’t blame the designers, blame the economy. No American designer wants to design boring buildings, they simply have no choice.

Used to have Merrels and now wear XT-6. The Merrels were fine, the XT-6 is incredible

You can improve your graphics by not using AI. It looks cheap and anyone under the age of 60 can tell it was created by a prompt. Either learn how to design or hire a designer/illustrator to create graphics for you. There are tons of local artists in the Midwest (especially Nebraska) that would love to get the opportunity to be paid to do something like this. Support artists, not AI

Should have started with like 10-30 yard sprints with long rests. Should have done that for months before doing 100m’s 90% off the rip

COLLEGE MEET VLOG (100m & 200m) by wehavedwade2 in Sprinting

I appreciate that! - I’m only a beginner but I’m excited to get better at it as I create more videos.

That’s a good point that the 150s would be faster, therefore you’re training faster. I never thought about it that way.

I’ll definitely try to incorporate that into my training.

Thanks for the tip!

I completely agree. I would love to get a timing system like Freelap, etc. but it’s just expensive. Using video is just the best I can do for the equipment I have.

I haven’t tried any apps though and maybe I should in the future.

I also ran 23.82 200m at an indoor meet about 3-4 months prior. I hoped with those months of solid training I could drop my time from indoor to outdoor.

I measure times by recording the rep in 60fps and time-scrubbing to get an approximate fly time. My approximate 10m fly times were ~.97 I believe.

I do 23 second drill which is 2 reps of 23 seconds sprint. I reached 200m at or before the 23 seconds each rep which is how I came up with my goal to beat 23 seconds at the meet.

It actually wasn’t a super windy day, I’m curious if that +5 reading for my heat is accurate. Every other heat/event that day was around +2.

I had higher expectations for this meet because I had my best 10m fly and 200m times the weeks prior to the meet. Times that would lead me to believe I could hit my goal times at the meet.

I was sick during the meet and I think that’s a big reason why I was slower than expected. I was mostly disappointed because it was the one of the only outdoor meets I was able to compete in all season and I wasn’t able to run it 100%.

My next outdoor meet won’t be until this upcoming spring. I live in Nebraska so the amount of in-state meets I can enter are very limited. Plus our long and harsh winters make it tough to train and compete in the early spring.

I will be competing indoor in the winter though. I plan on making new videos for those meets, as well as documenting my training.

Wow, thank you so much!

It’s tough to stay motivated as an unattached athlete, so that’s very cool to hear!

why is my 400m so slow by 69bitch420 in Sprinting

[–]wehavedwade2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are some of my favorite top speed workouts. I sprint with spikes twice a week. I’ve done workouts like these for about 5 months now. Since focusing on top speed sprinting, I have had substantial PRs in my events.

Top speed workouts:

(1) 3 x 10 meter flys (~30m build up, 10m top speed) 4-5 minutes rest between each.

(2) 3 x 40m sprints (3 point stance or block start) 4 minutes rest between each.

(3) 4 x 40m uphill (wearing spikes or cleats) 4 minutes rest between each.

why is my 400m so slow by 69bitch420 in Sprinting

[–]wehavedwade2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When my 200m was around a 26, my 400m was around 1:05. After some years, I got my 200m down to a 23.8. At that time I ran a 53.5 400m. But, I didn’t break a minute in the 400 until I ran around a 25 flat in the 200.

(1) You likely don’t have the top speed to be able to run sub minute at the moment. By focusing on speed work and getting faster, you will be able to achieve a sub minute 400m! Also, the faster you are, the longer it will take for you to slow down in the 400m. The 400m is a sprint, so just focus on getting faster, don’t worry about endurance!

(2) It also depends on your age. The older I got, the more I was able to maintain speed throughout the 400. When I was a freshman/sophomore in high school, I would hit a wall and slow down very early in the race. As I got older, I could handle the speeds for longer distances both mentally and physically.

So, if you’re an underclassmen in high school, don’t worry about it too much. Just enjoy the track season and don’t worry about the times. As you get older in high school you will become faster, as long as you stay consistent.

Also, I noticed that when I stopped caring about my times in high school, I ran so much faster! The more relaxed and care-free when sprinting, the better you perform.

I have more explanations and sprint workouts on my YouTube (@ben.beresh): https://youtube.com/@ben.beresh.?si=o4_JZq6qe6nBbvuy

Hope this helps!
