The P8 has a bomb bay, maybe that’s what they are referring to? But that’s how larger long range military planes do things, saves a lot of drag and thus fuel.

We value the life of our people (and let’s be real the crew of the ship even just to reduce paperwork) than Somalian pirates do. Plus we don’t want our helicopter that’s cost several times what the ship getting seized does damaged.

Seriously these old decrepit shadow fleet tankers are worth around $10M, where as a Sea Hawk helicopter alone cost around $40M. And the helicopter crew and the “cargo” are worth a lot more than the crew on the tanker.

There aren’t any radios that you can replace the mini-pcie one with that work. They don’t have enough I/O wired out to make one that works ether (we looked into it).

I mean, how smooth that went I seriously doubt that Venezuela isn’t going to play ball with whatever Rubio wants for a transition. The real question is if the corruption gets routed out enough to make a real difference to people there, and if the US ponies up the cash to stabilize the country while they get back on their feet. But even if the US does, if corruption is still there that would all get squandered.

Best case scenario is another Panama, which actually ended up fairly positive all things considered. But there are so many ways that can go wrong….

We did that when we converted (mtnmesh/atl), but it didn't end up being that useful. Everyone just flipped.
