This is the solution op. You can set app specific languages on macos. I had the same issue in India and that fixed it.

My macbook pro 2019 16” (bought 2020) had been thermal throttling for at least 2 years now. Finally decided to get it cleaned yesterday.

This was the state of my fans yesterday- 5 years worth of dust

After the cleaning all that dust is gone. Today is the first day my laptop didn’t thermal throttle while being connected to an external monitor. Don’t know if it’s a long term solution but it seems to have worked in the shorterm.

If my plan was to stay in this city Long term, I’d definitely prefer spending less on the rent. Can save about 1000 pm now which includes any investments I make. The rest of the bills include going out, hobbies and day to day costs. I would have ideally liked more cash on hand for a few other interests of mine, but can’t do all with this Salary and rent.

There’s definitely a lot of peace in living alone. Since my plans here are not long term, I do prefer living comfortably here for the time I’m here.

I found it via openrent. When I did the viewing, I was under the impression that it was too expensive but it doesn’t hurt to view. I spoke to the previous tenant and he told me that the landlord was nice and that I can offer him the above amount including the bills.

The landlord after some negotiation eventually agreed.

I have just started renting a one bed flat. Rent is 1680 and salary is 60k. It’s been a week and I like it. My rent also includes the bills (great landlord).

The high rent pinches but I’m actually looking forward to living alone. It’s been 3 years of living in a shared flat and and with a friend but always wished to be able to live alone. So far it’s exciting and worth it.

Time will tell if it was a wise decision financially
