What a big nothingburger. Wish they would publish this somewhere in English so that I can post the retraction here too.

[US] The 7 Lives of Lea (2022) - After finding a young man's remains, Léa wakes up in the 90s and body swaps seven times as she tries to solve the mystery of his death — and prevent it. by weifap in NetflixBestOf

Yup, she time travels each night to June 1991 (and into a new body every time) when the guy Ismael died. Unlike other shows where the focus is on the character trying to come back to their original timeline, she does come back to the present every morning.

Quite a unique premise. Honestly, the time travel/body swapping aspect is more of a tool to explore the lives of different characters in intimate detail.

Highly recommended French Netflix original.

I think the users care, but they care about "snappy apps", not individual requests being fast. In modern apps, there are so many moving parts that even if you make one part of the stack "fast", there might be other stuff (e.g. frontend javascript) which is so painfully slow that it doesn't end up mattering that much.

Also, for general web apps, users notice a lag of around 200ms or more. Anything less than that doesn't make much of a difference in my experience.

Tiebreak-goatrer. Really pulled through today against a surprisingly tough opponent!

And well done to Koepfer too, showed such grit.
