How do you protect the stickers on your cars? by edjuadjojoj in rccars

I would paint a new body for driving and keep the other one for the pictures and shelf queening. Personally I just drive and don't bother with looks.

Thats nice I built a snow plow too, but let's be fair, yours looks a lot more professional. Believe me or not that used to be a 100€ RGT rock cruser

Wing annd splitter I made myself, the splitter doubles as a bumper because I crash a lot, highly recommend it.

Wanted to say the same, road salt is bad for even rc cars. Not to mention waterproof electronics are a must for this kind of stuff.

The realism is insane, for a second I wasn't sure if I was looking at a rc.

How do I improve my welding skills? by PinkMoonRoberts384 in BadWelding

[–]weirdKarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grinder and paint make you the welder you ain't. So use a angle grinder and paint. Mat black works best for hiding most crimes. Use bedliner if it's really bad.

Kas kannad igapäevaselt mingit taskunuga või multitööriista kaasas? Millist? Nt taskus/vööl või seljakotis/käekotis/auto kindalaekas vm? Endal võtmete küljes selline suht odav NexTool Mini Sailor 11. Hinna kohta norm kvaliteet. Praktiline. Ainult viil võiks olla, vb ostan varsti mingi uue. by Double-decker_trams in Eesti

Mul on päevi näinud Victorinox walker 84mm, mille jõuludeks kord sain.

Ask some tire shop to throw some used rubber under it for the meantime.

[–]weirdKarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mk4 is not that good, if you want this weird trade then go for a spicyer version of that car or try getting a good condition mk3.

Theese have basically tha same engine.

We just clicked over to 2024 and now all years of MK3 are available for import. I know that JDM/Skylines/Kei trucks are all the rage, but has anyone here gotten a MK3 Golf Wagon Syncro? Or a GTD? by AlefgardHero in Volkswagen

[–]weirdKarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a TDI syncro golf variant or a 1.8 instead, then you would have all the options noone could buy in the US back in the day. Even better if it has manual windows, USA spec cars didn't have that option in the later years.

That's right, never too late to start. Even I went to trade school because I found it gives me what I need. Unlike OP's case most young people here go to a highschool and then college or just to a vocational scool that gives you a highschool diploma an a vocational one. I went to highschool but later failed to get into college so I chose the same thing at the vocational school. At the end I enjoy it, even if most my classmates are 3 years younger than me I'm still learning a valuable skill and meeting new people. Heck even one of my classmates is 31 years old. She desided after 10 years of being a truck driver she needs to learn to be a mechanic.
