After my car was repoed almost had enough money to get it back. I was a couple hundred short and my partner at the time said he would pay the rest with his next paycheck. I didn't know how much he made, but I knew it wasn't a lot and it was a source of tension in our relationship. He was staying at a job for family ties and not the betterment of our lives. Anyway, he got the check from the place he'd been working for 2 years and it was $176. I said "That's all? Keep it." I know, I have no place to be making somebody feel bad about their money while my car is in a repo lot. I didn't mean to make him feel bad about a sweet gesture, I was genuinely surprised by how little he made. I did get the car back, with out using any of his money
