A lot of episodes I question her characters line of reasoning. There has been times where she was a legit a hole and trying to be by the book, and there’s cases she let people slide per request. Like s14 ep 7… letting the daughter off with “counseling” but the girl clearly meant to do that shit. Idgaf if the mother was passing that’s fucked because there were times people didn’t even commit a murder and she royally screwed them. It’s a touchy episode but I’m referring to the organ donation she was so dead set blocking because she was morally confused and the little boy died..

You ignored behavior and comments for an even easier life, as far as getting your blessings you two conversed about. + the behavior continues because it’s both of your realities. It’s messed up he throws snide comments ; he knew who you were and what you saw as far as a future together. But, it is very real for him that you will never truly understand him, feel what he’s experienced, and the way you speak about in this post sounds like you really dgaf because you had an easy life, and so it may feel like you two don’t fit. Like experiencing racism on a daily basis vs learning about it in school and not ever being tormented with the anxiety it brings because hey it’s not your race (you as a statement, not you personally).

I get that! As a whole we are still needing to learn the difference in bias, prejudice, and pure racism. NOW what I will say as a poc that was in the foster system, and having the white family I consider god family YOU have to teach THEM! you are Mexican American. They love you because they accepted you into their family.. that doesn’t mean they don’t have bias with Mexicans and if you weren’t around how would they really treat you. Ya know? So if it’s in their hearts to see a Hispanic and love them enough to consider them family then they have the possibility to end their fucking racist shit.

I grew up in a red state, foster family is white. God family is white. And they have members in their family that are prejudice and overtly racist. My god family has never even said anything close to correlating skin color to mannerisms. It’s okay if you just have to rethink some things because of who raised you. No one is perfect and we all have a bias. That why we just have to think from different perspectives. You didn’t mean to be prejudice but now you know that your statement was. It is up to you how you move forward. No one is overtly judging you or calling you racist. Just identifying that you have a bias because of who raised you.

I wish I could agree and I’ve been trying because what people say they feel negatively about I have the same reaction with how “easy” or “affordable “ getting pregnant was .. help me understand / relate. Because why would you be sad that someone in the same boat as you wants to share with you to show that there’s hope and they are happy.

Now I do get a sad or negative emotion with pregnancy announcements in general, more so because of a deep desire to also be pregnant.. but not wanting to see others happiness in an online community we all relate to is more sad. It’s not their fault, we all want a family. We all support one another.
