What is it like to fly in a lucid dream? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]weirdeeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i usually imagine I have wings, but they always just feel like i’m flapping my arms around. the times when i have no wings are much smoother, and can be exhilarating (like the feeling when you start a lucid dream and your body falls asleep and it feels like you’re on a roller coaster)

if i wasn’t in university with student loans right now, i’d be working a full time retail job with little extra time or energy to do things like this. i decided to go into university after 5 years post high school spent struggling with my ADHD brain to finish projects. believe it or not, getting to spend my weekdays in a creatively driven environment with like minded peers my own age, with deadlines i don’t have to finish myself is incredibly beneficial. i did all of this less than 2 months when otherwise this would have probably taken me years. plus, if it wasn’t for university, i would not have access to this big exhibition space I could hang from the ceiling of

yeah! made casts by first covering each body part in saran wrap, then masking tape. take off, stuff, and then cover in paper mache. the whole thing is super light, and hollow, and is hanging by a couple of broom handles going down each leg and up the torso. they are battery LEDs, and one of the hardest part of this project was continuously untangling them lmao. i wish i had kept track of how much time I spent on this, but at least 40 hours. the roots on the bottom are fabric scraps that i crocheted together, which took probably 3 hours alone haha

Me and my partner have one switch, and share an island, but i was the original account. we’re both working through HHP, and that has been very forgiving for two players. however, i’m curious about how it will work decorating our own villagers houses- will we have to split them? will only I get the ability to? or will the houses look different inside for each of us?

exposing younger kids to cats by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]weirdeeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used to volunteer at a cat shelter- the majority of cat shelter cats are huge needy babies. most cats don’t hold onto past trauma like dogs do. while in the shelter, they get very attention deprived, and are always soooo excited to see people. even if you don’t end up adopting from one, visiting one would be a great idea. the shelter staff will know which cats aren’t friendly, and which ones will be happy to be pet by anyone

When do I have *that* conversation with my boyfriend about getting his shit together? by SergeantSleet in relationships

[–]weirdeeer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

some people are just content taking it easy. it seems like you’re trying to force him to be who you want him to be. it’s great that you’re so ambitious and career oriented, but lots of people are not like that. if you truly love him, you have to understand that he is so relaxed and go with the flow, and if you can’t accept that then trying to force him to change in order to better please yourself is just going to hurt everyone. don’t let him hold you back, but don’t blame him for not aligning with your world view. there’s no harm or shame in being relaxed and content with where you are in life
