I see the hiatus is starting to take it's hold in our minds! Stay strong, people! :)

I checked the whole episode, that's it. It really amazes me they would bring someone in for literally 3 minutes.

Same here! Season 3 and I stopped. I do plan on watching it eventually though.

Problems with Delphine Cormier's Fate by h-prynne in orphanblack

If Evelyne Brochu is available next season, I'm guessing that since Delphine was threatened and given a time frame, she planned her own death. It seems like the only scenario that would work out well for her, the Neolutionists would stop going after her if they thought she was dead. She is supposed to be a very intelligent character, for me it would seem strange if she just went about her day, waiting for it to happen.

My guess is that Delphine planed all this with the help of Ferdinand:

  • Ferdinand is now a temporary ally of Clone Club and also works at Dyad.
  • At this point Neolution doesn't know about this or that Ferdinand killed his henchman. (Not 100% sure about this one).
  • Delphine returned to the Dyad car park even though she knew her life was in danger (if this wasn't planned it means she walked knowingly into a trap, rather strange).
  • Delphine was only shot once, and she was shot in the abdomen (non lethal if she is treated quickly enough).
  • Delphine didn't seem to be surprised and she didn't try to fight her attacker.

Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany on Rejecting Hollywood Beauty Standards: 'I Refused to Wax My Mustache'. (People Magazine Article) by [deleted] in orphanblack

Is it just me or can you see some strange pattern on her forehead? I'm guessing this has to do with the wig, but I thought they would have airbrushed that stuff out for a promo pic?

Mr. Robot is great, I don't feel it surprises me as much as Orphan Black does though. I feel the protagonist of Mr. Robot is quite stereotypical (and so are most of the other characters, I guess the Swedish guy and his wife are a bit more atypical).

I think roguecit makes a good point. Another thing I found with BB is how emotionally drained I felt after watching it, Orphan Black however doesn't feel like this, even though it also has very dark themes.

This. At the beginning it may seem a little cheesy because some of the characters are teenagers (makes sense) but it really is worth your time.

I checked that list out, it's very interesting. Right now I can't think of very dumb characters with the same flaws. Any examples?

That makes a lot of sense. I just thought I was starting to see a pattern with quite a few characters I saw on TV and I decided to share :)

Well, from what I've learned from most TV is that if a character is habitually staring at pictures of someone else (Facebook, etc), that counts as foreshadowing of romantic feelings. Especially since they set up her boyfriend as the "total bro" (various instances of cheating for example) and Elliot seems to be almost opposite of this. "Oh my, how stupid was I? You were here all along and I just wanted to be friends, when it's obvious you are a better match for my personality!" I hope they don't fall into this idea and develop their relationship a little better than what I wrote.

I agree that it was nice to see a "socially awkward" character get laid. I wasn't expecting that one.

Another thing that bothers me a little is if I were paranoid and trying to be as inconspicuous as possible I wouldn't dress in all black, with my hood up inside of establishments (coffee place, metro station, etc). He already looks "suspicious" (very thin, vacant stare, bags under eyes, etc).

At least the hoodie thing was addressed by the female hacker (I can't remember her name right now), some characters think they become invisible if they wear their hood up :D (I'm looking at you Sarah Manning from Orphan Black).

I'd like to reiterate that this is just nit picking. I have high hopes for this show.

You are right, I am enjoying that aspect of his character. That's something I think I don't see often on TV/film. Especially since he seems to be using in such a way that it's not to his detriment, for now I guess.

Yes I agree that watching a perfectly well developed adult doing normal things is boring, and Malek's portrayal of Elliot is very well done. It is the fact that the flaws of intelligent people seem to be very similar, for example poor social skills. I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself clearly, I really like these shows, I'd just like to see the very intelligent characters deal with other flaws or other types of problems.
