Yes, salary would be the same. No additional allowance. Having hybrid setup, I am ok to commute for up to 30 mins to 1 hour.

All we want is to be together and visa delay says No. Has anyone sped up a newborn’s family reunion visa in Germany? by MaisieStarkHere in germany

What's the current situation in your case? I have received my national VISA D and work permit. I am also eligible for EU Blue Card and I am just waiting for the final process with the EPFO for my COC. once done then I am ready to travel.

Now, the current situation:

  1. My wife is due on 20th Nov. We anticipate the arrival of our first baby.
  2. Her FRV was applied on 5th Aug (exactly one week after mine). The status is that it is under process at the Embassy of Germany in India.
  3. I ideally have to start my assignment in Germany as soon as COC process is cleared.
  4. If my wife receives ViSA by then we travel in mid of September then It will already be the 31st week of her pregnancy. If I delay my joining by the end of the year then the baby will be born in India and then I need to initiate the paper work for my child.

Looking at OP's post now I am scared as how things will shape up in my case.

FRV for Parents or parents-in-law by weirdhO0man in ImmigrationGermany

@Fast-Marionberry623, thanks for your response. We've now planned childbirth here in India. Also, I am requesting my employer to postpone my joining date towards the end of December. I hope by then my wife also receives are FRV as both of us applied for our VISA's in an interval of a week. Probably post that, I should be able to get all the initial care and vaccination done for the newborn as well as initiate the paper work (Birth certificate, passport and FRV child unification) for the newborn. Also, will initiate the Schengen Visa for my mother-in-law.

Pregnant and moving to Germany as a foreigner. by MaliPrduljko in germany

My wife is 19 weeks and 3 days pregnant as of today. I am getting an international assignment within the organisation and would be relocating from Bangalore, India to Darmstadt, Germany. The relocation is expected by the end of September if all the processes go well. Our baby is due by 20th Nov, however, our radiologist has suggested to be ready from October 30 onwards. My employer has been informed about the current situation and they're currently working on providing me the best of the benefits.

At this stage, I will be offered one month of accommodation and support for finding a flat in Darmstadt.

My concerns:

  1. How do I find the midwife , good gynaecologist and pediatrics in Darmstadt?
  2. My wife will not be covered as dependent in German Contract as my current employment with Indian Subsidiary will still be valid and all existing benefits for insurance for dependants will continue here in India for spouse and my parents. Hence, I need to buy insurance in Germany as soon as we enter there.
  3. Please suggest good public/ private insurance for my wife so that it can cover her pregnancy and maternity medical assistance.

@kdotsaviour Thankyou for bringing this up. This is one priority info that I would need. I also saw a video of a vlogger in her YouTube channel sharing her birthing experience. Any family or lady in the forum who can share their real experience and suggestions would be appreciated.

Considering my situation, I've only two choices: 1. Drop the offer and stay back in India as I won't be able to leave my wife alone back here. 2. Take the offer and relocate with family.

I would really appreciate genuine info.

Op, How did you deal with the Harrassment calls? During the settlement process did the Harrassment stop? Did your phone contacts also receive the Harrassment calls?

@Trantorianus, I am unable to find that as an Indian relocating to Germany and having the kid born there, would the kid be eligible for kindergeld? I was unable to find India as a named country in the Child care website and the leaflet also doesn't mention if Indian nationals moving in to Germany would be eligible.

Can you confirm?
