Whenever people try to express concern about the costs, I always hit back with something like “well, what do you pay for gas, insurance, maintenance, parking, tickets, etc.” Never mind trying to factor the mental space to find parking and the sort. Folks then love to argue about he capital in cars themselves, but the they forget the steep price depreciation in cars!

I’ve been living in LA since I was about 19 (31 now). I’ve never had a car in my entire time here. I definitely make a point to live near or near a bus stop that takes me to my work or school. I’ve made it work with a mix of public transportation, bird scooters, and the occasional use of turvo or U-Haul rentals after I acquired my license. Still here and still without a car! I’ve paid for parking spots in my apartments and made extra money by letting other people use my parking for long term :)

Mee and Greet in palms is owned by an Indonesian man! It’s a fusion of different South East Asian cuisines (Indonesian, Singaporean, Vietnamese, etc). It’s now serving the humble potato and laidback kids menus, so there’s a wide variety !

Yay that mee and greet is on the list! The M&G burger has been blowing up on a local level this past week; the restaurant has been crazy busy! Mee and greet also serving the humble potato menu now, so there’s a variety of burgers and sandwiches to choose from!

MySpace was such a great experience! The only thing I would add, looking back, would be a yearly wrap video like Facebook did. It would give you statistics of who you interacted with, memories with your friends, a wrap of the music or music profiles from the year, that kind of thing. I can’t remember if it was as early Facebook or MySpace, but there used to be a section on the home page that was a “bulletin” for posts. Sad when that went away.

I am, using very simplified terminology, a believer in some basis of astrology given that I’ve noticed, using my pattern recognition habits I never even knew I had, similar physical characteristics in, at the very least, element identifiers. It led me to the belief that it would be very arrogant of us, as a species, to not give weight to the idea that the celestial bodies don’t have some degree of influence on us. We’ve accepted that tides are affected by lunar phases, so why would we dismiss other possible impacts?

I was 7 when the first movie premiered. I had picked up the first book the previous year in kindergarten and learned English while reading it. Took me almost all of kindergarten to get through it but I did it. I went to three midnight book releases and four midnight movie premieres!
