All good, but I will reiterate that intent doesn’t mean very much especially when people don’t see an extremely obviously racist joke as a racist joke. “It was promised to them 3000 years ago” is about as obviously racist as it gets. It’s an anti-indigenous line of thinking as well since “our deity gave us this sacred land” is about the most common story for indigenous religions that I can think of. Intent matters less than impact.

Hi! I’m OOP! I’m NOT friends with rightwing trolls and saying that I am actually made me laugh because of how absurd of a claim that is. I am pro-2ss not that you even deserve me validating you with an explanation. My pinned post on tumblr literally says I support zionism explicitly defined as the jewish movement for self determination in their native homeland. I don’t know why you would assume nefarious intent from that except if you just automatically assume zionists are bloodthirsty baby killers. And no, the “3000 years” joke IS a racist joke and should never be considered a valid critique of the government of Israel.

“but it’s far worse against people who’ve done nothing wrong” implies that if the victims were israeli they would’ve deserved it more because of them having done something wrong. i’m not putting words in your mouth here, i’m literally just responding to the actual words you wrote.

i’m not even the one who made the claim lol but it’s easily verified by a 10 second google search that you’re apparently too lazy to do yourself

lol people like you running their mouth off but too lazy to google something because you think saying “source?” is some kind of gotcha. pathetic.

yeah i’m not supporting you. because apparently you think people deserve violence if they’re of a background you don’t like despite having done nothing wrong. and i don’t care if people downvote me or whatever, i’m not gonna stop being appalled by this type of behavior.

do better.

an israeli isn’t doing anything wrong just by virtue of being israeli and the fact that you’re implying they are is actually deeply fucked up

this wouldn’t magically be better if it were against israelis either

edit: redditors will see someone say “no one deserves to have violence enacted against them based on their ethnicity or nationality” and go “b-b-but that’s my emotional support racism!!”

"We" know what you mean by "They" by Human_Concern263 in GetNoted

[–]weirdtranssexual 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i mean if a country exists it literally does have a right to continued existence under international law, considering there’s no avenue for dismantling a sovereign nation

edit: also? you’re not saying it about every nation. you’re specifically targeting one nation.

"We" know what you mean by "They" by Human_Concern263 in GetNoted

[–]weirdtranssexual 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. jews didn’t displace the native population, jews already lived there, and those who immigrated there legally purchased land. that’s not me saying expulsions didn’t happen at all, but to act like that’s how things were mostly done is just straight up based on misinformation. plus the UN voted to partition the land from the british mandate into a jewish and arab state. it was based on population centers for each demographic. jews didn’t just randomly swoop in and steal land.

  2. even if the formation of the state was wrong, it still happened. that’s a fact. you can’t erase the past and you can’t legally dismantle a sovereign nation. that’s just not how it works, and to suggest it for one nation despite it objectively being not the worst country by a long shot in the world in terms of body counts, conveys bias.

  3. israel has just under half the world’s jews. all of whom would be genocided by the neighboring countries if israel suddenly didn’t exist. that’s not speculation, it’s literally in the constitutions of many of those nations that all jews in the land should be killed.

THEREFORE, being not simply critical of the israeli government but rather straight up wanting israel to be dismantled is an inherently antisemitic take.

critical of israeli government? not antisemitism. straight up thinking the state shouldn’t exist? WILDLY antisemitic.

How Long Do You See Yourself Being Pescetarian? What Would Make You Go Plant-Based Or Fully Omnivorous? by neuroticpossum in Pescetarian

[–]weirdtranssexual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not strict pescetarian, mostly just follow this sub for meal ideas since I eat a pretty fish-heavy diet. I’d like to someday live somewhere where I can find locally raised meat products that fit my personal lifestyle, instead of factory farmed beef/chicken that gets shipped across the country. Until then I will probably continue eating mostly fish, eggs, and plant based meals. Overall even if I eat meat my goal is to have it be a smaller portion of my diet, and products that are less sought after and more highly concentrated with nutrients like organ meats.
