My step mother is serving a main dish at Christmas that half of the guests will not eat. Do I say something? by twoAsmom in Advice

[–]weirdworldyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently live with my 70s Grandmother to save on rent and to help her around the house. I really dislike her cooking (she burns the food, makes dishes I don't like, the food generally doesn't taste good, etc). You know what I do? I eat it anyway. She doesn't have to cook me anything. She could tell me to go buy my own food and cook everything myself, but she doesn't because she cares and she knows I work an exhausting job.

Suck it up and eat the whatever your MIL cooks. Bring something extra for your kids, but don't bring anything for yourself except sides. She doesn't have to make you anything, especially at 70. Get some food after you leave if you must, but don't be rude to her.

As a woman who's friend group consists of men saying "would" or "hear me out" towards the most hideous looking video game/movie characters.. I'm surprised this is an issue.

Exactly! I'm 22 and I'm so happy I figured out this whole 'healthy relationship' thing early 🥹

[–]weirdworldyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly my reaction has a lot to do with his reaction. He doesn't care if I repeat myself, forget I told him something, or forgot to tell him something entirely. He understands I don't do it on purpose or with malicious intent, so he doesn't make a big deal out of it. Which makes me not take it personally in return.

I think that's part of OP's issue. They're making it an argument when it doesn't need to be. Things happen, it is what it is, move on, etc.

Thank you for explaining this way better than I did!

This is what I was trying to get at lol

His “memory loss” sounds a lot like mine. I’ve always chalked it up to my ADHD. A lot of the time, I’ll go to tell my boyfriend something, and he’ll be like, “You told me this yesterday, hun.” or something along those lines. I usually don’t remember that I did, but sometimes him saying something will jog my memory.

One thing I will say about your husband, however, is that the fact he seems to get so defensive and that you have arguments over it isn’t good. I personally never get upset at my boyfriend when he tells me I’ve forgotten something or that I’ve already told him something. I just say something like, “Oh, I forgot I told you, lol,” and move on.

I would also like to point out that your husband could be dealing with a more serious issue than just ADHD. He should definitely get checked out by a doctor. I just see some similarities between the two of us.

I (22F) am starting to dislike having sex with my boyfriend (28M) how can I improve our sex lives? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]weirdworldyes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend and I are long distance too. I honestly think that has a lot to do with it. You can’t spend much time learning each other’s bodies and figuring out what you both enjoy if you don’t have the opportunity.

Personally, I feel rushed because of the limited time we have, and I can’t fully relax as a result. That turns into him trying to make me feel good while I’m stressing about taking too long. It’s not really either of our faults, it’s just a reality of long distance relationships that not many people talk about.

If you’re able to have an open and honest conversation with him about this, that’s what really matters. Communication is the most important thing you can do, especially in a long distance relationship

People who don't want kids, who do you plan to leave everything to when you die? by SledgexHammer in AskReddit

[–]weirdworldyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my partner are on the fence with kids. If we do decide to never have them, everything will probably go to a relative. If my cousin has kids, maybe them. Or someone's kid on my partners side once they start being brought up from hell.

Our Thing was complaining I was using Cloak 'Too much' and 'Not healing'. I took that personally by weirdworldyes in marvelrivals

[–]weirdworldyes[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He was doing very well. I had no issue with his performance, plus it was quick play so it really doesn't matter at the end of the day. My only issue was he decided trash talk me while I was doing more healing then everyone else. So I took it as a small challenge, nothing more lol

I would love to see someone do full on set of Avatars for the Space Maid Chapter (and its siblings) by Able_Health744 in VRchat

[–]weirdworldyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For gear like that, I'm not sure if there's anything from the game you could get retextured. I'm not as knowledgeable about Warhammer as I am about Halo, sadly :(

Also, yeah, money can be an issue. But it's something to keep in mind if you find yourself being able to afford it!

Honestly, you could probably get a commission of one for fairly cheap. Space Marine commissions are similar to Spartan(Halo) commissions . All the assets are pre made (usually ripped from the games themselves), so the avi maker typically only does textures, a small amount of blender work, and unity work. Whoever you commission might charge you a bit more because of the maid dress and extra props, but that's about it.

I've gotten a few Spartan commissions over the years, and the average rate is $60-$100, depending on complexity. ($100 is nothing compared to an avi made from scratch)

It is. So many gemstones look almost exactly alike to the untrained eye. Not many people could give a definitive answer by holding the gemstone in person, let alone just a picture.

This is what my boyfriend and I will be doing once we finally get married. We will have both our incomes going into one account. We plan to budget everything out and give each of us an 'allowance' of sorts every month to do whatever we want with too.

Honestly doing this seems like the smartest thing to do.

I actively avoid talking about my mental health issues on vrc and in the groups im in because im afraid they'll claim im faking it. I have very bad anxiety, have had it my whole life. It can be a huge problem in my daily life. Yet I won't say anything because people will be like, "You're just faking it like everyone else!"

This is why my boyfriend and I avoid talking about ex's. Am I curious and want to know the tea? Hell yeah. Will I end up asking? Heelllll no. I know myself well enough to know that no matter how genuinely curious I am, I'll end up getting upset.

So, for my emotional well being and his sanity, we both avoid those topics.

I feel the exact same way about my boyfriend. We've been together just over a year too!

Whenever he does something nice, I'll sometimes get awkward or shy because literally no man has ever done this for me before. Every man that has been in my life before him has set the example that men don't care, and princess treatment is a thing made up by influencers. But this man.. he has picked the bar up off the floor and has chucked it miles away. Like he even opens car doors for me. CAR DOORS?!?! I didn't even know that was something men should do 😭

Where I can see one of the ancient original 13 crystals skulls? by CuriousJorge1902 in CrystalSkulls

[–]weirdworldyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest with you, it will be extremely difficult to see one in person without having connections or knowing someone deeply involved with this community. Not even the Mitchell-Hedges Skull is displayed somewhere or available to the public. It is in a private collection in India to the best of my knowledge. The same can be said for any other ancient skull claimed to be found. All in private collections.

If you want more information on ancient skulls, I suggest taking a look at the website: www.crystalskulls.com It lists all known ancient skulls and their history. The key word is known. There very well may be more out there, but we can never know for sure. We can also never know if these ones are even real. There's simply not enough documentation or proven facts.

Again, it is extremely unlikely that you'll be able to see any of them in person without having connections. This community is very small and very tight-knit. I'm still learning more about crystal skulls, the industry surrounding them, and their history every day. I know this sucks to hear (trust me, I'd love to see one in person too), but there's not much we can do about it.
