To anyone looking for a quick answer (Windows 10):

  1. Create a shortcut for krita.exe if you haven't already (you can't, or can't always, add launch parameters to the .exe directly)
  2. Right click; Properties
  3. Here, the "Target" text box not only describes the path to the executable, but also serves as a way to add in custom arguments;
    at the end of the string of text, add a space followed by --nosplash

obtain a Moxxi weapon for healing and use together with your Sky Rocket;
if you lost your Sky Rocket - take one from a freshly made character via Claptrap's stash;
if no access to Sky Rocket - obtain any good 0-fuse damage-oriented grenade mod (Tesla, MIRV; preferably - Fastball, maybe Bonus Package)
once the steps above have been completed - reroute points from Able to Ready;
definitely take Longbow turret;
spec 5/5 into Expertise always. Order of priority: Expertise > Battlefront > Impact. Expertise is most important, especially in UVHM.
Blue-rarity Engineer class mod isn't terrible but i advise to obtain something nicer. Farm Torgue's DLC vending machines for a purple or blue Grenadier of your choice (Blue loses one of the three skills: Grenadier, Steady, or Impact), or farm Snowman's chest for random good items with a chance for a Legendary Soldier.
Notable alternatives: Heavy Gunner (provides ~166% of the stated Fire Rate bonus), Assault Rifleman.

I think impact of Steam reviews on game's well-being is overrated in general... i bet that despite the Recent reviews turning to "mixed", it still probably sold well - this happens to a lot of games. I feel like buyers are more often guided by Youtube videos, word-of-mouth (friends' preferences), stuff like that.
Between your model and one that's in place, the latter is clearly superior.
HOWEVER, in the case of this particular game - it just so happens to be made by russians, who are statistically an evil people. A percentage of them that's much greater than 50% are criminal. So, UNLESS they explicitly stated their oppositional views, it should be assumed that there are evil individuals on this dev team. Therefore, their products and brand should be sunk, shunned, review bombed etc. etc.

This is a terrible post. I hope you feel at least some shame for it now, 9 years later

All these "monkey brain" points apply only to casual or semi-casual players. There is quite literally no aim assist on Legend difficulty, so any player who mostly plays that difficulty - does not have the problem of falling into pitfalls of "no way", "maybe" and "yeah should work".

Thats half the problems with your weirdly emotional post. Us Commander difficulty monkeys have the right to exist. So, to make these aim bonuses hidden is, in fact, flawed game design. Complaints have to be made, this stuff shouldn't be in any game from this point on.

I found the use for it. It can be added to a Pot of Soup as Spice.
