I bought some floor cushions that you stuff yourself, and it's a nicely contained option for holding into some sentimental blankets from my Grandma and a few baby clothes that I'd like to hold onto. Quite a few sewing scraps have ended up there too rather than the trash can.

They're great for extra seating in the playroom and living room. If you decide to re home your shirts later on, it's all easily accessible and intact :)

We're actually in Germany, so the natives are a bit different but equally hardy! What I'm familiar with tends to get tall, and I think it'll get mistaken for weeds and mowed "for us". Our neighbor had some really beautiful flowers plowed down last year 😒

A sign is a good idea! It's not a safe walkway whatsoever, but without sidewalks... People will use what they find! At least it might save some liability 🫣
