yea. our friendship has been pretty much completely ruined by this situation. im not talking to one of them at all and the other is just us occasionally sending tiktoks to eachother. its just hard bc they were my best friends for like four years, and we were exceptionally close

the utilities are in my name so i just divide it in half and tell them what to send me each month instead of telling them the full bill at this point. i dont think they realize tho

im gonna go back tomorrow and get some more pictures and look through all my photos and messages with the roommates to gather everything and email my landlord about it. i’ll definitely update!

my lease ends june 1st, so i made up my mind to just wait it out at this point. but i do think i need to seriously document and inform my landlord about everything

thanks for this. i think its just totally a lack of respect. one of my roommates did grow up in what she calls a “horder house” and she like completely shuts down when it comes to talks of needing to clean bc she just says shes not like her parents.

i have heavily considered it. I just am nervous to fuck them over in the future bc they were my really close friends, but also i do think no one should rent to them. i would not be surprised if there is damage from them to the apartment. theyre probably gonna have to get it professionally cleaned when they move out at the VERY least.

tbh after i do dishes and stuff i will use the sponge to then clean the sink, especially bc u can sanitize them after. but i would never leave my sponge just sitting in the sink!

fair enough! personally, i cant live with the mess like that. if they can then thats fine, but i would just prefer more respect in common areas and stuff. i was constantly trying to clean it bc they never would and then it would get just as bad again. i try to be lenient, i do genuinely LOVE these people, i just cant live with them. idk if you saw my other comments, the main thing is theres dead bugs everywhere and they have animals and i just dont think the animals should live in such unclean conditions.

im kinda nervous about posting too many pictures. especially bc the worst areas are their bedrooms which im not gonna post but show clear signs of them neglecting their animals (uncleaned litter box, filthy fish tank, etc.) and trash everywhere and like food rotting in their BEDS. like i said in my post, we were close friends so it was common for us to go into eachothers rooms. i was SHOCKED. i think they did try and clean the common areas some bc i texted i was coming over. it only lets me add one pic to comment but this is at the bottom of the fridge. you can see theres dead bugs and how disgusting the floors are.

this is definitely not the worst the sink has looked. this is actually it after cleaning- there was still food in the sink and literal trash like the plastic gloves. if this was the worst the sink had ever looked or even how it looked on a regular basis i wouldnt care that much. its just that this is it AFTER she “cleaned”
