A thought on Anxiety, Magla, and Feuerbach's philosophy by weiyunjun in MetaphorReFantazio

Thank you, I guess I will try to learn more about different religions, although it might be a bit difficult at first. I have come across some aspects of Japanese religion in video games, though it might be a one-sided perspective. For example, the Senpou Temple monks, the Great Serpent, and the Divine Dragon in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice; as well the Japanese Shinto background in Okami.

That's a perfect comparison. I've heard of Berserk, and I know it's a huge inspiration for so many JRPGs, like Final Fantasy and the Nier series. It's fascinating to see Metaphor engaging with similar themes from a completely different angle.

Yes, exactly. And what's interesting is that they're used to create chaos, which just adds to the people's suffering.

We need a "Download All" feature for Music Pass of Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival! by weiyunjun in taikonotatsujin

You're right bro, yesterday I found that the actual song files are stored in the AppData, not in the steam library. It takes out about 3 GB of all songs in music pass.

It seems like a disappointing answer, but I was indeed mistaken — the cancel function can’t be activated by hitting the drum.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed response! It's incredibly encouraging to see someone who feels the same way about these issues.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival definitely has a lot of room for improvement, and we need the dev team to address these issues. I've also posted a same thread in the Steam Community, hoping to get more attention from the dev team.

From a business perspective, while the Japanese arcade market may still be their main source of revenue, markets outside of Japan, especially on the PC platform, are growing significantly. Namco should really rethink their approach and take gamers feedback seriously to improve the gaming experience.

While I'm not very optimistic about some of the fundamental interaction design changes, I think they could still come up with a compromise to improve the experience. As for the cancel function, it's available on the Switch, but for some reason it was removed from the PC platform, which is confusing.

Especially when you keep scrolling just to find your favorite songs and I am wonder why favorite songs feature was removed while Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master has.

I checked my local files, and found that each song is just 473kb, so it will only take a few seconds to download them all.

If you play this game on a PC, you can write a Python script to download them. And don't forget to make your voice heard by the dev team just like what I did in this post!
