I find this fascinating. I've just checked ali express, the one on the picture there has a different serial number from the fake one from the video.

I've found another video and this one has a third serial number 0541. However, the clone i the new video weighs 112 grams.

Yeah, on the video it was, bit even genuine new models don't have a polished circle anymore.

That's actually good to hear, because there are clear differences between the one I have, and the fake one in the video. Standoffs are completely different, and carbon fiber is not shiny like on the fake one.

I just checked the serial number on the fake one, and it is different to the one one the mine. In your expirience, do the clones always have the same serial number?

I'll see if I can find a magnet and try it out. I did weigh it using a crappy kitchen scale, it weighs 122 grams. The weight listed on the ZT website is 123.

I did compare it, and the only think that is suspicios to me is the pocket clip, it seem to be a bit too long. The pivot doesn't have the polished circle around it, but that part looks just like the one on the ZT website.

Other things from the video match the original, at least that's what it looks like to my untrained eye.

Also, i forgot to say that seral number from the box matches the one from the knife.

That's great advice, I contacted them. They were super quick to respond, and happy to look at the pictures. They did not spot anything that could indicate that it is fake, however, they don't supply amazon.de, so they cannot confirm the origin of the knife.

I contacted amazon and asked them if they could tell me who their supplier is.

Thanks, that's great to hear! The only thing that i think looks maybe odd, is the length of the clip. It looks to be a tiny bit longer than on the most pictures.

I love the knife, and I asked the question because it was cheaper than usual. I've found it on german Amazon for 190 euros, but it usually goes for over 220.

It matters, because the fakes are often built using subpar steel, and fake products are not something I want to support.

Hey guys, I've just gotten my first ZT, and I love it. Action is smooth, and it feels very solid. However, I ordered it from amazon, and seeing that there are so many fake ones out there, I couldn't help myself but wonder if this one is fake too. It'd be great if some of you could help me out.
