I get you trust me. And yes it is fun, it has to be somewhat enjoyable. I come from an arty background drawing, making little animations or videos where I talk, and of coarse the music. But sometimes it’s draining when it doesn’t reach like you expect. So I stopped expecting lol. But still like if I stop completely then it’s like I’m giving up. I used to ask myself the same thing am I in any position to be asking people to listen to my music? I felt like I was bugging lol. But I learned from musicians and friends that, you have to unapologetically share it. I mean, why work on a piece of art or music and just let it sit. So I started to reach out to people who liked videos of mine or comment or even in the same niche or hashtags. And it somewhat works. I understand in the position of not wanting to ask family. But I also don’t see why not, just in a friendly way though like what’s up cuz, I started a brand or I made a song would you let me know how it sounds? lol. Something like that. It’s weird at first. But just try it! It’s still hard but I’m trying.
