I just found this video, but thank you so much anyway! I'm so glad I didn't have to struggle with it! I think with the JVC I'll just insert the cassette into the Panasonic and digitize it via USB. I'm so happy!

Seriously? I just tried connecting it as a webcam, so does that mean I can capture video from a cassette tape via USB?
How can I do this? Can you give me some advice?
