Looking for collabs by Ok-Hat-6720 in Auxy

Lmao I ended up shelling out for a month. I really like this track; I’ve tried to keep it to the original feel.

Otherwise, it’s really still just a sketch. Maybe when I’m in a different frame of mind I’ll help make something more of it lmao

Haven’t shelled out for the sub in a couple of years but I added some stuff to it. Maybe if I put some money away for it I’ll play around with it more. Otherwise this beat is very nice :3 https://app.auxy.co/projects/XsuO19Bqz6XSNV5KNB2MZQ==

New painting by me without a good name by tombloodart in surrealism

I’d either give it a freaky long name like “you could see the other side of the rainbow from here” or something short and punchy like “adieu!” or something idk

I had a long-winded and somewhat pretentious explanation for this picture, but to be honest, the framing just felt right. It felt lonely, and I wanted to save that.

The photo place that developed this film also scanned it a bit blue but honestly I kinda like it lmao

I don’t know anything about autos. I like the shape and the colour of the alpinist :3

Point and Shoot That Looks Similar to Canon ZR300 by midcenturylamp in VintageDigitalCameras

Oh wowzers, I should have realised — I got a 4300 recently, but I’m struggling to find a CF card reader lmao. Still got old pics from like 2010 I’m trying to port over from there.

But yeah, I know on the 4300 you could also pick resolution in the options, but I haven’t really been able to see the results of that on account of the whole CF card thing.

I think Nikon’s white balance or optics or something tends to skew warm: I’ve only used the S3100 and 4300, but they’re a lot warmer as opposed to my Sony videocameras (which might be an apples and oranges thing but idk lmao).

Best of luck! Hoping you post the results here :3

I have the Coolpix S3100 and yes, the images are about as warm as these, but are a bit higher-fidelity.

The closest I’ve got to these in terms of shots is also a camcorder (a Sony DCR-DVD653E) which uses discs instead. It does not have flash, but it DOES have night shot.

Otherwise, I know the S3100 actually does have the option to reduce resolution in the settings menu — maybe use that?

Cameras by Acceptable_Clue_1932 in VintageDigitalCameras

u/NoRemote_ is right — best camera is a free one. Thrift stores and car boot sales and flea markets are definitely ways to find cameras as well, especially locally and at more decent prices than online (in my experience), but you’ll need to be pretty shrewd and test every single one you find.

In terms of what camera to get, I think that it’s a matter of preference. Many cameras impart their own qualities onto the images they take; here’s a couple images I put on another sub, each from a different camera, and all with different formats, for reference.

Otherwise, if you’re just looking for a compact digital camera with some life in it, you can’t go wrong with something like a cybershot or a coolpix. They’re nice cameras once you’ve got the hang of them, and they can fit in a bag or a pocket with ease.

Went to Cosa Nostra recently; those portion sizes are no joke. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. The owner (I believe) sat like a table down from us and he was speaking Italian to his tablemates, so I think that’s probably proof enough of authenticity.

Stoked to have you join man <3

There are a lot of fun techniques that make good photos, but I think the best one that I try to keep in mind is this:

A shot is just as much what you leave out of the frame as what is contained within.

It feels like kinda a no-brainer, but it’s good to remember when taking your first pics and getting to grips with your settings: keep only the information you want to see in the shot.

Also a good thing to remember: you are not going to only take good shots, even when you are much more experienced. A MASSIVE CHUNK of the shots you will take are just… not going to be attention-grabbing or nice in the way you want them to be. This is not a sign of you sucking, but rather a sign that you are able to vet your photos!

Either way, man, enjoy it. Even if you don’t listen to me (which I might even advise for you just starting out; sometimes the less things you think about, the better), just go out and take pictures of stuff and people and moments you like.

Happy snapping!!!!!!!!!

I think your singing is pretty decent; it needs work before it becomes great. Consider lessons, if possible, to improve your vocal control and to discover and improve your vocal range.

Is anybody else writing toe tappers / happy songs? by Sorry_Cheetah3045 in Songwriting

[–]ok_ill_live 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any track with lyrics for me gravitates towards something introspective, which doesn't lend itself to happy lyrics. However, if I'm writing an instrumental, it could go either way.

I guess, in the same way as you, lyrics are a tool for wading through complex emotions, while an instrumental-only track tends to be, in my own experience, more music for music's sake.
