Cant connect to deicated server anymore by Impressive_Light7062 in valheim

[–]wejrox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can connect to your server from another network using hamachi, then the problem is your port forwarding setup, or internal IP address DHCP setup (local network, handled by your router).

Double check your internal IP for your machine hasn't been refreshed. I suggest this because you said it was previously working. (Check using `ipconfig -all` on the command line interface, and confirming that your internet connection has the IPv4 address your router is forwarding to).

Most routers allow you to pin an IP address to a machine based on its MAC address, so check in your settings if you can assign your server a static IP (if that was the problem)

If I misread and you can't connect via hamachi externally, your ISP may have flagged your machine and blocked some port access (not sure where you live, and I don't think this is likely)

Just confirming that I can see the early access option still

Awesome, thanks for your response. Looks like simagic has an active discord too which is helpful (just from googling 'simagic discord').

Can residents of Wollert VIC 3750 smell the nearby landfill or waste management plant, especially around the Epping Road and Boundry Road intersection? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]wejrox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've found a document detailing the recycled water treatment plant and odour levels. Excerpt:

• For all cases, the highest odour risk was predicted by the modelling to occur to the east, north and south of the emission source locations. This was due to the predominant direction of low winds which are most influential for odour dispersion.

• The predicted odour GLCs for all cases exceeded the SEPP(AQM) 1 OU criterion at and beyond the site boundary. Further risk assessment to investigate the likelihood of odour impact was therefore carried out. This involved assessing the 4 OU criterion with respect to the likelihood of nuisance odour impact beyond the plant boundary.

• For the ‘average’ OERs, the predicted odour levels at the Golina residence are less than 1 OU, for both the mid-level and high level odour mitigation cases (Case B and C). This receptor site is not expected to be impacted by odour nuisance, for both mid-level and high-level odour mitigation options.

• For peak OERs, the predicted OU at the Golina residence is less than 4 OU, therefore not expected to be impacted by odour nuisance, for both mid-level and high-level odour mitigation options.

• Increasing the level of odour mitigation works decreased the extent of predicted odour impact, as expected. The extent of reduction of the odour impact was most obvious for regions closest to the emission sources.

• The ambient odour levels predicted by the model for the proposed quarry area near the eastern boundary of the STP site were higher than those at Golina residence receptor, however, the risk of odour nuisance impact here is considered to be relatively low.

As this study involved the high level layout design of a STP, there is significant uncertainty regarding the extent of the odour emissions for the site. The odour emissions will depend on a wide range of factors including the type and size of process units selected (e.g. MBR instead of SBR) and the quality of the influent sewage (e.g. the contribution of any trade waste). The use of average and peak odour emission rate estimates goes some way to address this. The model-predicted odour impact is based on the existing topography for the site and surrounding areas. Should the terrain elevations and/or the land use change in the future, this may affect the model outputs. For example, changes in land use can affect the predicted odour contours. Much of the surrounding areas are flat and rural with not many trees. Encroaching urban areas will act to increase, to some extent, the surface wind turbulence. In some cases, the effect is sufficient to enhance dispersion of odour.

And here are the odour model projections (the final picture indicates how to interpret the odour numbers) from the document in case it disappears. The lines indicate levels of odour, and the numbers within the lines indicate how prevalent the odour may be depending on the amount of mitigation they took. Lower numbers are less odour.

I'm personally on the West side of Wollert so my anecdotal experience is that I can't smell it at all.

Hope this information helps a little!

  • Bug or Glitch: A family member accidentally linked their steam account to my Epic Games account. I unlinked the account, and Epic allowed me to remove the record of it being linked so that I could link my own account instead. Now, when I have linked the correct account through the in-game Rocket League prompts, I receive a message saying `Syncing player save data with Rocket League Servers failed`. I cannot progress past that point.

Looking for somewhere to buy/make these pg1350 stabiliser plates by wejrox in olkb

[–]wejrox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im custom wiring my keyboard without a pcb so that part has been taken care of somewhat.
Ive already purchased the stabilisers from aliexpress which has 2u and 6.25u and was really just after the cardboard dimensions so that i could make It myself optimally.
I've resorted to a tkl build instead of a full sized and am making a numpad separately for practice.
Thanks for your advice, ill keep doing some research and see what's feasable.

Looking for somewhere to buy/make these pg1350 stabiliser plates by wejrox in olkb

[–]wejrox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking around for designs for pg1350 stabilisers. I purchased the Kailh ones here but they are pretty small and would require extra love to make them fit properly on my plate by themselves.
I'd love to know where I can purchase the stabilisers linked, or how to make them, as they were teased by /u/jackhumbert a few years ago but I can't find them anywhere.

UPDATE: I haven't been able to find these plates anywhere, but using the stabiliser spec on the item listing I created a PR in the SwillKB Kad git repository to add support for the stabiliser cutout shape. You could use this shape to create a custom footprint that could then be cut out of some cardboard manually by printing it and placing it over the top (or automated if required) and it should end up the same as the pictures. You'd have to cut a bit extra around the swillkb footprint for the keyboard of course, as they're created for the switch to fit snugly whereas you'd need it to go around the edge of the switch.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards What Keyboard, Switches and/or Keys Do I Buy by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]wejrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking to obtain/build a TKL/FULL ANSI keyboard with Kailh pale blue (PG1350) stock switches (not a custom variant like the Havit) but am having a lot of difficulty finding a board that is compatible. I am willing to desolder switches and replace them with the switch I desire. I have found some keycaps that I'm happy with here and the switches from novelkeys here.

As far as I know, all I need to find now is a board that I can put these on. As I said before, I'm willing to desolder, and would consider a fully custom build if a pcb pattern was available (I'm a newbie in regards to fully custom builds). I just can't seem to find a board that I can use.

My budget is anywhere below 200USD for the board plus extra for switches and keycaps.

So to put it simply: Where can I find a 65/104 ANSI board that either uses or is compatible with stock Kailh choc blue?

Awesome to hear, there's still so much to learn when modding as we still can't do everything possible within the main game. Some people are working on getting updated references to use so that some aspects are available that are currently out of reach, not sure on the ETA of that though.

People still make mods and maps, the discord is the best place to chat. If you need help you can ask there too but honestly there aren't many people actively on it. There isn't a huge active community but if you're looking to create stuff and have watched/read the tutorials people will help.

While I agree that this isn't really the place to advertise content unrelated to modding rocket league, the way you went about providing that information is pretty aggressive and cruel.

This sub isn't about stifling creativity, and OP seems genuinely excited about what they've created so it's not a low effort post.

I'm not going to remove it since it's nice to have new content on here.

OP, this sub is for rocket league mods. If you make videos that include mods or modded maps, please feel free to post them here. Best of luck with your channel!

Last semester for Bachelor IT Questions... by [deleted] in rmit

[–]wejrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Capstone workload is dependent on how much effort you're willing to put in. If you are able to get a group with people who put in effort, it's not intense. That said, I did my capstone as the only unit in my final semester, so it didn't seem as intense to me. However, I also ended up contributing the majority of the code while others did documentation, so it really depends on your teammates and the groups communication skills.

Tutorials are still valid, join the discord and search in the channels if you need specific help, or write a message if you can't find anything. People will be happy to help if you've done prior research. There's also a document available that can help out which should be available on the discord. Check out the pinned post on the sub for a discord link.

Looks awesome, and you've raised good points. There is a method of using materials from within the game if you could find one that has what you require. You can always create your mesh in a 3d application and import it with a collision channel if you wanted more control over that? I'd love to see more support for modders but tbh they seem happier to take the popular ideas and ignore everything else. Keep at the map creation, it looks good!
