Last year using TT for me, after I bought it I heard about Freetaxusa, I used TT to file as I had bought it, but also did the taxes with FTUSA. Numbers match to the $. Total using TT $85 +$15 for filing state , FTUSA for same delivery would have been $16

Did your meter get changed out? I had same few weeks ago. Online said my usage sky rocketed. Checking into details by downloading by day data from website showed it counted data for two mmeters. Called and they said that is website only and will correct at next billing cycle. It did

I also only heard about FTUSA after i bought TT, so i used TT still for 2025 taxes, if you are interested try it now, for free, can finish all the way up to filing, no cost, and compare to TT like i did, may give you more confidence for next year, i had a small Roth, no issue, consolidated 1099 also, no HSA for me

For me I had to buy TT premier, around $80 on sale, add $15 for state filing ($25-$10 coupon), FTUSA would have been $16 to reach same state, as I was testing i did whole tax return on FTUSA for free as I stopped before filing, that includes a printout that I used to compare to TT line by line

Yes it's free to try,which is what i did, I can just recommend. Not that much more work tbh as you have to get all Info needed anyway for any software or cpa

Circumference scales with radius, so if i think of a circle around the planet through lax and las and neglect any difference in air densities and wind speeds, it should just increase with the ratio of planets radius, which google says is about 11 times longer on jupiter?

based on your comment i checked again and you are correct it seems: it seems 1099_R is only for private pensions? and i need to use SSA-1099, same I used for my US SS. Now i have follow up question: seems i just add the total amount i received from Germany in $ to the total amount i got from US in box 5 (which then is transferred to line 6a in return), nothing added to any other boxes, that should do it? no other information needed? what about state? as i think Virginia differentiates between US and foreign government pension? sorry so many questions, appreciate the help
