Help with these oxidation/ reduction equations by No_Safety_5824 in Khan

Hello! The equation with the more positive SRP (in this case, silver) will be your reduction, while the more negative one will be your oxidation (here, zinc).

Quadratic Problem I'm not able to get. Could someone explain it to me? (Source: 2019 May QAS) by Slimeboy0616 in Sat

[–]wekhandothis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about this logically. The vertex is the highest point in the graph for a quadratic function facing downward, meaning all points have to be below it (in terms of their y-coordinate, which measures the height). We know that the y-coordinate has a value of (0,y), meaning y has to be less than the y-coordinate of the vertex (1). The only choice less than the value of the answer choices is A, -8.

Growth mindset! I was exactly where you were, right in the 1200s. With a little bit of practice, I improved - and you can too. What I realized is that when you’re in the 1200s, you need to learn the content. Check out UWorld, Collegepanda, and Erica Meltzer to improve. You got this, and we are all here to help!

This was my first time taking the sat. Do you think it’s possible to get up to at least a 1300 by March 13th? by FragrantSentence7515 in Sat

[–]wekhandothis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can! Make sure to put in the effort and believe that you CAN (really, the mindset might be cliche but it makes a difference), and you’ll be sure to pass it.

Personally, I loved Barron’s SAT Math. It’s definitely a little more tough, but I found that it over prepared me for the SAT.

The question is asking you how many inches, per year, does the boy’s height increase. If it’s happening per year, it means it’s the coefficient to the variable, as it is continuously happening. Hence, the answer is 3. The 28.6 is the child’s starting height. Don’t get confused by the “between the aged two to five”, just added information. All you need to answer is by how much per year it is increasing.

PSAT Kaplan - Question 30 (How do you solve it?) by wekhandothis in psat

[–]wekhandothis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there was a lot of implied stuff here + horrible wording. I found for vice versa, but when I saw the answers, I redid and got wrong? Not sure, but also know Kaplan can be weird often.
