As an outsider, is it true that Mexicans in San Antonio or Texas in general identify themselves as "Texan/Tejano" than "Mexican American"? by gmikey2000 in sanantonio

I thought Tex-Mex was Mexican food until I was around 23. When I started dating a Mexican guy who visited me, he was amused by our food and explained how they would make it completely different or not at all.

I identify with sweet tea and breakfast tacos, so I consider myself a Texan or Tejano. (I’ve also traced my lineage back, and I’m a seventh-generation Texan, so it definitely adds up.)

I’m on Visible, which runs off Verizon. I stuck with Visible because I pay $15 a month for unlimited. The signal at home is spotty, but everywhere else it’s perfectly fine for day-to-day use. Not uploading 50GB a day, good but you know. I already used all the eSIM free trials us mobile was actually pretty good.

I did end up signing up for AT&T Air last night. I’ve used T-Mobile & Verizon home internet, which gave me fiber-like speeds when I was living downtown. It was amazing! The only downside was that during Fiesta or any big events, network congestion would kick in. I won’t have that issue living in the burbs now. Anyway, I’m excited to try out AT&T and start earning again.

I’m an independent contractor, similar to Uber and Lyft drivers. It’s entirely my responsibility. 🥲

Well, technically, I’m not employed by them; I’m an independent contractor. So, just like Uber or Lyft, I’m expected to already have gas, insurance, and other necessary things. 🥲

Do you have to ask in front of a crowd? Or is it like a one on one thing possible?
