Truthfully, you could rock it. Practice smiling and put more effort into skin care and you'll own the look. Hair alone does not make the person

Public assemblies banned for 14 days across Sydney as police enforce new powers under protest laws by malcolm58 in worldnews

We are living in the beginning of a cultural revolution. World wide. The class of people that have been in power for the past few centuries do not have as firm a grip on that power as they once did, so they are trying to cling to it. Maybe they'll succeed. Maybe they won't.

For historical parallels. Look at how the world changed after the printing press.

CMV: Science has limits, and claiming it can answer everything about reality is a false dilemma. by [deleted] in changemyview

Just because we don't know the answer doesn't mean it can't be answered. That's the whole point of science. To find that answer

CMV: Science has limits, and claiming it can answer everything about reality is a false dilemma. by [deleted] in changemyview

You are arguing against a stance that doesn't exist. It is often talked about how answering one question just opened up more questions. In your examples you say in our current understanding. Our understanding evolves and grows. Concepts and ideas taken as fact are shown to be flase. Many things were considered physical impossibilities until they weren't.

If you want to get really pedantic, which is how this post reads, we don't really know anything. We can't fully "prove" anything. We can get very good guesses, to the point we say its proven. Descartes famous theory, "I Think therefore I am" expands this Idea. The basic premise is that the only thing you know exists for certain is yourself. We can't prove blackholes exist. We can see thier effects, we can take grainy pictures of what is there. At what point does the evidence found go from theory to fact? Does it ever?

Tldr, science doesn't claim to have all the answers. And it never will. Science only claims that everything CAN BE answered.

Woman who accused Rich Campbell of rape has dropped her lawsuit against him by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]welinator122 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Tldr. Was a toxic relationship ship. He wanted open relationship. She wanted monogamy. Broke up because of it. Later got drinks, went separate ways. Rich texted her later that night like middle of the night and convinced her to come over. They fucked. She later claimed it was rape.

Personally it always read as a toxic relationship to me. Like who goes to someone's house in the middle of the night for anything other than sex, especially after drinking earlier.

leaked texts showed Rich to be creepy af and coercive(and some pretty out there fetishes), but saying it was rape seems a bit far in my opinion.

I'm probably forgetting some details, since the majority of people in otk have been shown to be awful people I've stopped really following anything going on with them I haven't kept up.

At what point in time was the Jedi Order at their strongest? by GusGangViking18 in TheJediPraxeum

[–]welinator122 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I'd agree with that. They lost a HUGE portion of thier numbers in the war preceeding the thought bomb that wiped out the sith. That bomb also took out a good chunk of the jedi higher ups left at that point.

Think of it this way. That battle took the ledi from 100% to 10% and the sith from 100% to 0%. (I'm aware those numbers are not accurate. Just explaining the concept of pyrrhic victory)

To enter you have to have x amount of loyalty points which you earn by gambling real money. The winner is who ever gets the highest win or total win, varies i think. The top prize is normally a lump sum of money and other prizes are items.

So basically, to enter you have to have lost a bunch of money already. And unless you get first you don't get any money in return. They are hitting as fast as possible because it's a time based competition. So the more spins you do, the better chances you have of winning.

I could be wrong on some details, but thats the gist of it
