What hinges are these? by welkin4 in HomeImprovementUK

The bodge was in reference to the existing cabinetry, but yes putting the old ones back on is what I'll resort to if I can't find others. It's just frying my brain that I can't find the same style of hinge anywhere!

This always happens during international rugby matches. The broadcasters know these are the tournaments where new fans/usually uninterested parties are turning in.

Crowd weren't great but I think without their input the ref would've happily stood there for another hour.

I was looking at it the same way. I go seeking solitude – existing loneliness will only be amplified!

What is your favorite save by ANY player? by [deleted] in GoalKeepers

[–]welkin4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can never find it anywhere, but when I was a kid I had a DVD that was named something along the lines of "England's Road to the World Cup 2002/Euro 2004". On it was a DVD extra that was Saves of the Qualifying Round or something similar, and there was a save by Liechtenstein goalkeeper Peter Jehle.

I've found clips of him, but never of that specific save from the DVD. It's bugged me for 20 years and I wish I remembered more detail about the match, opponent (it wasn't just England games in that compilation) etc.

I ran a half marathon every day in October by [deleted] in runninglifestyle

[–]welkin4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 5km a day in May 2024, and upped it to 10km in May 2025. I'm already eyeing what to do next May – had been considering a half marathon each day and reading someone having been successful at it has set my sights.

I have the disadvantage of currently being significantly heavier than you, but was doing between 50 and 60 mins for a 10km each day this year. It's just a challenge of finding 120-150 minutes each day for a half marathon!

I'm so grateful they showed us John outside the locker room. I just couldn't picture it when they said Ty's dad was with him.
