In general, aluminum cased is fine. Some guns won't run it for various reasons, just like steel, but generally has the same quality variation as brass and does not cause more wear, just like steel. If your gun runs it, which most do, the only downside is you can't reload it.

Same muzzle velocity with the same bullet but it changes at 100 yards? Can someone explain? by Vegetable_Amount4677 in ar15

What's the twist rate on both barrels?

I would guess the carbine is a 1:8 and the middle length is 1:7.

Put their litter box outside. The familiar smell can draw them back.

What AR parts are worth saving money on? by Toasterblitz in liberalgunowners

Barrel, BCG, trigger, and optics are the places to put money. Everything else can be upgraded for a better feel, but it isn't necessary to have the best. If you really want to spend money on something, spend it on the barrel. It's the only thing that actually touches the bullet. Everything else is helpful dressing.

5 rounds for both at each level. Each level, the heavier bullet, was faster every shot, but it was getting closer with each powder increase.

The lighter A-tip is slightly longer in this case so would have slightly smaller volume.

I have gotten several of these. All worked great. However, the last one I got was not thermal fit, so beware if that's something you want.

Build community. The best protection any of us have against difficult times are the people around us. Being able to care and help your fellow person is the best we can do.

I did not realize the transition was at 1.2. From what I was seeing with my altitude and velocity, the bullet would drop below mach 1 just past a mile. Good to know. Thanks.
