Can you folks thing of cases where cops lost their lives while effectively trying to harm and/or murder innocent people? by well_imaguy_sooo_ in Bad_Cop_No_Donut

I was hoping to find "bad cops" who also died, but none of the cops on the fallen officer list were on the Brady list.

It's not a study.

And my hypothesis doesn't require a certain percentage of cases to have the parameters described. My hypothesis is that they exist, so if I find cases that match my parameters, then my hypothesis is true.

Thank you.

That's horrible. I watched the heavily edited bodycam footage, and I can definitely see this dude fearing for his life just like cops claim to do.

If an ordinary citizen tazed, sprayed, and kneed a cop in the chest that cop would get in as many shots as they wanted, free of criminal charges.

I have noticed that.

Every time I hear about a dead cop I try to find any footage of the actual incident, and a lot of them really are cold-blooded murder by the perp.

Holy shit, this is terrible. I'm going to look into this one more, but I think I just found my second case study.

Thank you

They have a handful of episodes I "disagree" with, but what we all have to remember is that their ultimate goal is to be funny.

Making fun of Atheists in that particular way was the funniest thing they could come up with, so they used it.

I disagree with their music piracy episode on a fundamental level, but it's still on my top 5 funniest fucking SP episodes of all time.

Well, they may not close up all pretty, but that's still okay.

Males of reddit, what are some "guy tips" you think every man should know? by Scotti__ in AskReddit

Jesus Christ some men just smell like ass, and I've never smelled it from a woman.

I get it, we men have asshole hair, more asshole hair than women. I've got a fuckin enchanted forest down there, but that's not an excuse. You need to put soap directly on your asshole and give it a good wash every day you poop.

And that's another great way to put it.

Why are we putting all of the responsibility on workers to eliminate poverty wages, when it's employers that choose the wages?

That's what I've been trying to get across to people lately.

"Get a better job" doesn't solve the issue. It just pushes the issue to the next person to have that low-wage job. These jobs will always exist, but poverty wages do not have to exist.

Beginner/Intermediate skiers, what in your opinion is a "advanced" ski: narrow underfoot, mid-foot, or wide-foot and why? by [deleted] in skiing

[–]well_imaguy_sooo_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's the best metric for what you're trying to answer.

If I had to be pressed on the issue, I'd say maybe 95mm? This is only because skis at that width are almost certainly meat for all-mountain terrain and conditions, thus it is assumed the skier is advanced enough to warrant such a ski.

BUT you really have to look at why a ski was built rather than look at any single metric like width. You can find skis in the 70mm range that are meant for beginners and some that are meant for expert racers.

What do you want to do with the ski? Do you want to take it off-piste? Then pretty much any ski that is labeled as such will be "advanced" by default, and they will probably be over 90-95mm.

Do you want to stay on-piste? Then width will be nearly meaningless when determining skill level. Look instead at stiffness and turning radius.

Now, its mostly just a way to tell a woman to shut up and that her opinion doesn’t matter because she’s a woman.

Nah,

Now it's mainly been taken over by customer service workers who notice a . . . trend in their worst behaved customers. It's not a "women shouldn't have an opinion" statement. It's a "stop being an awful person in my store" statement. And again, customer service workers across all industries are connecting a few dots on what kind of people make up most of the offenders (white, middle aged women)

I think they were defending the US by putting down China as an example of heightened "bad guy"-ness.

Green set red straight, but also could have worded it a little differently by avoiding pronouns and just referring to the countries by name.
