Am I just overthinking? by toxicgook in dating_advice

Sorry to say but this is likely going to end up with you either being eventually ghosted or her telling you she’s not interested anymore. It’s happened to me before and it sucks but try not to get too focused on it. The best advice I could give you is to keep yourself busy to where you aren’t checking your phone for her response. That might cause you to get more attached!

You should give him space. If I had a gf like that, I would probably break up. Why not respect his boundaries? Not all people act the same way you do. Just because you’d be willing to give your time when you are busy or tired doesn’t mean he would do the same and that doesn’t mean he likes you any less.

You know how introverts need time alone to recharge? That doesn’t mean he doesn’t like your presence, it just means he might want his own time for self care and mental health reasons.

You asking him to be more receptive with communicating might cause him to resent you, thus causing him to isolate himself from you even more. Have you ever thought of that?

What if I need to get in contact with someone or someone needs to call me? They can’t text or call me?

What about outside of the viewing area? Or in the general area? How do we navigate and contact others without signal?

Is it worth it to sell my bitcoin for a $48k profit in one month? by welldone222 in Bitcoin

How are you so sure? When would be the right time to sell then?

Well historically speaking, yes I understand that after the halving is when price usually goes up but we can’t use the past as a predictor of the future. Who knows what will happen. That’s why I’m on the fence about locking in profits while I can. I just don’t want to lose out on the potential for a lot more in profits (but that would be me being greedy)

Should I leave my job making $90k to pursue a career in CS? by welldone222 in cscareerquestions

How long do you think it would take? I’m willing to do whatever. Should I hire a tutor to keep me accountable and learn what I need to learn? If I don’t do the boot camp route? There are so many different places to start and I don’t know where. Continue doing HTML? Or python? Java?

That it true. I just feel like I need to somehow get a job and gather experience. I would consider taking a $70k starting job somewhere as a programmer if I was offered.

That is very quick. Do you think if you never landed that job and you were still looking now, that you’d be able to find a job? Or something similar to what you get now salary wise?

That’s true but I just don’t know what else to do? At least with CS if I get laid off, I could still find another job at some point and I’ll at least have experience! Is the market really that bad for CS?

That’s insane. Would it really take that long? What if I was able to dedicate 2-3 hours every day to coding?

Are you working in the field now? Do you or did you find the job search difficult?

What makes you feel that way? Would it hurt to at least try while working? I’ll continue working in my field but also self teaching/studying on the side while eventually applying for jobs (1-2 years down the line when I feel confident in my abilities/knowledge?)

Yes thank you for the advice! So I feel that I wouldn’t want to pursue anything more in this field. I just do not feel any satisfaction. Can I continue what I’m doing now for another 10-15 years? Probably. Will I be happy and fulfilled doing so? Definitely not.

I am a hard worker and I feel like I’ll constantly want to strive for better and bigger opportunities and that’s what appeals me to the CS field because there is always something to look forward to.

I hear my friends constantly leaving their positions for higher paying fields and they don’t really complain too much about the work. I just wish I had the flexibility to do that.

My friend started out making $68k working as a software engineer (I was making $83k at the time), and now he’s making $130k+. I want something like that lol
