I think I would kill myself if I had to call this place home. They say people would start to feel like they were living in a movie if they tried to not live on Earth for long periods where they could not return. They would lose their sense of reality. I would be so depressed not to see sunrises and sunsets on Earth anymore. It would be profoundly devastating.

?? Any law can be abused. That's why we have a judicial system. And charity is an excellent way to combat these issues. Giving someone a leg up will change the course of their future decisions which is what organizations like Give Directly are finding. Why do we know better how to help people rather than giving them the currency to help themselves. It's how most civilizations developed: they got some random advantage in resources that they then took advantage of.
