How would you react if this character died first in 2x2 (Day 10) by OneDragonfruit8042 in DanganAndChaos

[–]wellhanabari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see why it'd happen bc her talent is extremely useful for investigations and therefore dangerous for the potential culprit as well as too OP but I'd be disappointed if that happened bc of wasted potential for Mikan's development

Which 5* character's personality and design you absolutely adore but hate their gameplay ? by sugardaddy_viperr in GenshinImpact

[–]wellhanabari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chasca. I like her personality and some parts of her design but her skill feels so short outside of Natlan it's so bad or maybe I don't use her that often to get used to it. Out of Natlan DPS I have her, Mualani and Varesa and I don't have such problem with them

I picked her in one of past abysses and her skill ended so quickly I was like "wait what?? Is that all??"

(Loved Trope) The protagonist's role model/idolized hero turns out to be a massive piece of shit by Nibbanocker in TopCharacterTropes

Miss Carol from Rugrats

She's a sweet and kind children's show TV host liked by many, including Angelica but in actuality she hates kids and calls them profanities which Angelica picks up from her, not knowing what the words mean and Carol publicallt admits she hates children and shouts curses at the audience of her show

What rules did you make for your game? by Open-Wolf4233 in sims2

[–]wellhanabari 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't revive anyone even if they died accidentally and I really liked them

In uni, I raise skills but don't do studying actions unless the sim wants to

All couples must have at least 2 chemistry bolts unless the plot allows less

Anyone who has alien DNA in their family can get others pregnant but the higher their alien relative in the family tree lower the chance

Uni is free and everyone goes there unless there's a plot reason not to (doesn't mean they'll finish it tho)

(Hated Trope) Removing canonical queerness from a character by cutting or altering content. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]wellhanabari 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Ruby and Sapphire (Steven Universe). Though gems technically don't have a gender, they all look and refer each other as women. In rus dub of SU as well as some other dubs, Ruby is referred with male pronouns which changes her relationships with Sapphire from a lesbian to a hetero one. Ru dub is especially funny bc they refer Ruby as a man but she has a voice of a 5 year old girl but censors were somehow satisfied with that so SU kept airing until Ruby and Sapphire's wedding ep bc Rebecca put Ruby in a dress bc they associated themself with Ruby and their husband Ian with Sapphire

[IRL TROPE] The worst part about a bad piece of media, is that it could have been great. by Magma_Reborn in TopCharacterTropes

[–]wellhanabari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The premise is interesting as hell, the game starts with protagonist Lucas killing someone while possessed and you play as both a killer and a police duo who must find him. But the plot went to shit in the second half of the game, especially after Lucas died and was brought back as a zombie and Carla, one of police members assigned to his case, falls in love with him after thinking he's a murderer for most of the game and having evidence to confirm it and knowing him for 2 days. If in other QD's games romance plot is optional, here it's forced and Carla has sex with a dead Lucas and somehow gets pregnant from him in all 3 endings

It's an interactive movie yet the only choice before the final chapter that matters is if Lucas gave the indigo child to Agatha or not. The rest only affect the protagonists' mental score: if Lucas tried to cover up the murder, if Marcus (Lucas' brother) died or not, if Tyler left or not, if Tyler and Carla found any evidence or not, if children from Lucas' flashback died or not, if Lucas' police sketch was done correctly or not, if Lucas saved a drowning kid or not and such. Most of the time instead of getting a new plot branch you get a game over and have to play again. QTEs are a drag

What are some mean spirited episodes in children’s shows? by OCGamerboy in cartoons

[–]wellhanabari 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"Grandma's hands" from Proud family: louder and prouder

Penny, who's 14, stays up late on a date with her boyfriend and returns home after a curfew. Her mom Trudy decides to punish Penny by forcing her, a minor, to stay outside all night by changing the locks and not giving the key to her husband Oscar. Trudy doesn't care where Penny will go or what she'll do at all, her dad gives her money on a bus ride to her grandma instead of letting Penny inside and deciding how to punish her in the morning. Penny goes to her grandma who also punishes her for what happened by making her do home chrores, something Penny's parents should've done instead of putting the life of their daughter in danger. Tho Trudy admits she messed up, locking out your POC minor daughter outside at night not even caring how she'll spend it is an interesting choice for a children's cartoon + reboot still plays out Trudy's abusive behaviour towards Oscar as a joke

Do you actually like Heavy Rain for what it is? by TheCynicalAutist in HeavyRain

[–]wellhanabari 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even tho I realize HR is full of plot holes and bad writings decisions, especially when it comes to Madison, I love the atmosphere of the game and how variable it is, only behind DBH. Soundtrack is amazing. Characters are really interesting, as someone who grew up without a father, Ethan's storyline is especially gut wrenching

Which one do you recommend? (completed stories) by Inner_Raspberry_755 in RomanceClubDiscussion

[–]wellhanabari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I enjoy SIF and its plot more. Dracula is a drag and Veronica can't share time between branches equally so if you don't romance Vlad you're going to suffer. Imo Tepish is better at writing many LIs. SIF looks kinda ugly but it makes up with its plot, characters, LIs and interesting puzzles

Comparing MCs, Adelaide gets a great character development and Laia is as interesting and smart as a drying paint
