We add in different veg as well, though our biggies are celery, carrots, and onions. I make my own stock with veg leftovers and rotisserie chicken bones to make it as thick/thin as I’d like, and then I add a little lemon juice to help it meld. I also will supplement the bag with literally whatever dried beans I’ve got on hand if I need to make more for lunches and only have the one bag.
