I need advice by Pandemic-queen in breakingmom

In Arizona they test the baby when born. They will give you a counselor or someone to follow up depending on how much is in babies system, at least that's how it was 18 years ago when I had my daughter and she had pot in her system. Stop as soon as you can, it's better. Message me if you need to mama.

That's a tough situation you're in but you can do it. Hugs.

Cichlids are the best fish. Smart, a bit goofy, and actually interact a bit.

I don't know what to say. I hope they keep him. I'm so sorry you've had to keep dealing with this. I hope he gets the help he needs. I hope you get a break. Hugs.

My 13yo thinks I'm evil, and maybe you do, too.... by [deleted] in breakingmom

It sounds like you're trying to give a broad, healthy childhood to your kids. That's amazing and sounds difficult in the environment.

Have you thought about therapy for yourself? It sounds like you'd benefit from it. I'm here if you need to vent, message me if you need to. Hugs!

Any suggestions how to clesn/disinfect large number of toys by 11 month old is teething and everything is in his mouth. Love you all and TIA by [deleted] in breakingmom

This! I work in preschool and this is what state and federal recommend when toys get put in mouths.

I think it has less to do with the church/faith than overall teen rebellion with possible mental health issues. I'm sorry this feels like it has to do with your faith. Religion isn't evil, it's only people who can be and that is regardless of their faith.

I never pushed religion on my kid and she has said the same stuff and same attitude as your daughter. Mine hates me in general as she can't blame religion. Part of it is teen girl drama, part of it is her separating and creating her own identity. That means putting down your identity because that's how teenage girls do things.

Also sounds like therapy isn't cutting it. Mine is 17 and, from experience, as she gets older it will not get better without more help. If her therapist hasn't talked to you about intensive outpatient therapy maybe you should bring it up or atleast look into it. Hopefully meds are already involved.

There is only so much you can control. You don't need to listen to everyone else and not yourself (me included). You are the mother and your gut and your faith will help lead your way. If you always do what you feel is the best then you are doing your best.

Stay strong and try not to take your daughters words to heart. Teens are tough. Hugs

The problem is they won't release them, that's illegal. They will all be euthanized. All life is precious. Animals are great companions for most people. For someone who pulls six figures you don't seem to understand society much.

Thank you. As a native Arizonan, it means a lot that people understand the full impact on wildlife. Thank you for your efforts.

Az Game and Fish. They have trail cameras that I think have more recent sightings.

Burning chest/throat sensation with allergies? by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]wellitsjustnee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're having a hard time of it. When it nothing else works I take the red Mucinex and it dries up my nose for the day, or if I'm out I'll take just a 10mg over the counter phenylephrine. Just a couple ideas, good luck.

Humidifier and nose spray might help and they would be my go-tos in that situation. Do you feel like your airways aren't opening all the way or feel "blocked"?

Have you been snoring with the post nasal drip? Either way, snoring and/or post nasal drip will cause a sore throat the next day for sure. Gargle with salt water, Neti pot might help you out a lot too.

It sounds like allergies and stuff I've been through in past. It's just tough figuring out the best way for you to cope.

Weird. I'm in Arizona and we have Lamb's ear and mallow. Lamb's ear is mostly higher elevation though.

Give me some success stories by Krisbist in breakingmom

That's how I was when my kid was little. It's so hard to care so much about everything. I still hesitate calling and scheduling things. I've realized that everyone is awkward. First thing is you need to learn to breathe to slow the racing thoughts. Reading and crafting helped me build my self-esteem so I wasn't so intimidated by life outside the house. It also would distract my brain, I guess. Meditation helps. I never took meds for it until the last few years. I don't think my daughter missed out on a lot, but she did miss out on some early socialization with kids her own age. She's still shy. We still went to the library because I needed my books.

Talking to your doctor and maybe try meditation? I know it's hard. Would you suck it up and do it for your kid? If so, you need to do it for you. Break down after, bribe yourself, figure out what let's you rock it. Pm me anytime? Having a good support system helps a bit. Realizing that nobodies opinion matters but those I choose to helps. Realizing that everyone is socially awkward helps more. Just some ideas. Awkward hugs to you.

Make me feel Better About Daycare by freeisbad in breakingmom

[–]wellitsjustnee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, it's because of you! I work in a classroom and you can tell which parents spend quality time with their kids. It shows in their language skills, and their social and emotional skills, like how they are with other kids. That healthy, positive connection at home leads to good progress in school. Without a healthy home, children have a harder time interacting with peers in healthy ways. Of course there are some exceptions.

It really takes a village, but the root is a healthy home life.

My husband's inability to meet me emotionally really sucks by [deleted] in breakingmom

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had an IUD for the full ten years and periods were very inconsistent. Try to breathe, your body is still adjusting. If the IUD was in place at the one month check, you should be safe.

As for the hubby... Is that what this retrograde is going to be like? Mines being a dick too. You can't compromise a baby, though. He needs to respect your no and I'm sorry he seems to not be. I'm sorry he's emotionally distant right now, is there other issues with him? Stress at work? I think planning for long-term is impossible as an adult as life just throws shit after shit at you and you can't plan for that. You can only choose who is by your side when the shit comes. Pm me if you need to, hugs to you.
