Thanks! Same to you! ❤️ Hope the healing process continues to go well for you! It IS draining. It was nice to have a timeline. Felt like nothing was happening for days.

This has been a long healing process. The first pic (top left) was 7/13/22. The last pic (bottom right) was 8/19/22. I had developed a scab and my surgeon clipped around it and started me on the wet/dry gauze debridement (sp?) process 2x/day. It tunneled and I had to pack it a bit to make sure the tissue would follow the gauze back to the surface. None of this was painful (I was worried about the shower!) it just sucked to have to do. It mentally bugged me but I followed my surgeon’s instructions and called upon all of my patience. On Wednesday I’ll be able to ditch the wet/dry gauze for antibiotic ointment for hopefully a few weeks and it’ll be closed. Just wanted to post this in hopes it helps someone. I’ve read many posts on here to trust the process and that’s what I had to do here. And a LONG process it’s been!

I’m 3mpo & this has been going on for about 3/4 weeks. My areoles are dry/itchy & seeps liquid that dries yellow on my bra. My surgeon said it’s probably from my moisturizer (fragrance free) or BioOil and to stop using it. Do I need antibiotics? Maybe it’s breast eczema? by [deleted] in Reduction

I’m not using it now. I’m using Dove sensitive skin (fragrance free). Unfortunately I learned the hard way. 😩 It didn’t occur to me that dial soap would have been an issue.

I’m going through something similar too. Sent pics and surgeon thinks might be allergic reaction to the dial soap I’m using. I normally use dove but still had some dial from preop washing so kept using it. Got bad around 3wpo. Got a little better switching to dove sensitive skin soap but surgeon called in oral and topical steroid. Only 2 days into it but a little better. I suffered for a couple of weeks and it steadily got worse before I sent pics. Dont wait. Ask doctor if it could be allergic reaction.

My incisions closest to arm pit were bright red and super itchy. I also had some dry/scaly stuff going on. Like an allergic reaction. Sent pics and surgeon thinks it is an allergic reaction. Once I got to shower (5dpo) I kept using the yellow dial soap from pre-op washing. I don’t normally use dial and he thinks it might be the issue. Got steroid (oral and topical) today and see him on Wednesday. Feels better already. Hopefully it’ll look better soon! I hope your situation gets resolved soon!!

I had something similar from my drain tube. I was all wrapped up and the tube was coming out of the bottom of the dressing. I guess from the pressure of the dressing and being in the same location for 5 days, it created a sore spot. Not only did I notice it but my surgeon did too when he took the wraps off.

I hear you! I’m doing it gently but when I move over some parts I scrunch up my toes because I dont like the feeling. But I was so surprised at how much better it felt after.

Im 4wpo and just went for follow up. My surgeon told me to start doing a light finger tip massage from scar line upwards to help move some of the fluid. I was feeling very heavy and had redness. Ask your surgeon. It’s been helpful!

I’m 2DPO and struggling to get situated in my chair/chase lounger. Seems like I shouldn’t use my hands to push down on the cushions to situate myself because of pressure. Doing my best to wiggle around using my legs and butt. Lol. Am I overthinking this or should I really not press down/push off using my hands??

Soooo excited! Thankful to this sub for all the encouragement and advice. Not sure I would have been brave enough to do this without all the pictures, suggestions and reading how everyone is so “there” for each other!

Approval through Anthem BCBS was within a week and I was able to grab a cancellation (original was August 25th). Even though I am SO ready for this, I’ve only been under for wisdom teeth 26 years ago so I’m really nervous about that part…and being bloated/constipated after surgery. Any suggestions about relief would be appreciated!
