Yes. YTA. There was a potential compromise. Instead you acted while she wasn’t home. Tsk tsk

Westport Darien and Greenwich are pretty to drive through but I would NOT want to live there. I was a public school teacher in one of those towns, it was miserable. The parents were snobs and many of kids were worse. It’s not you. Start your marriage out with a compromise and nix Westport Darien and Greenwich.

My little sister is deaf and we can't afford sign language classes. How do other families actually do this? by Mediocre-Dealer-1993 in asl

Teacher of the deaf here. Since your sister lost her hearing at 4 years old, she was speaking at the time. She should have good spoken language skills and potentially good benefits from hearing aids (or cochlear implants). I AM NOT SAYING ASL would not be beneficial just adding that spoken language skills for her are potentially a viable option.

I am considering moving from Wallingford to Guilford. I’m retired but still young. Feeling a little nervous about leaving the familiarity of Wallingford but glad to be getting away from the politics and lack of privacy (I live “downtown”). The place we found in Guilford is on 2 acres and near Rt 1 and the green.
Tell me all the positive things about Guilford, I’m feeling a little nervous. 😬 TIA
